Pet care experience
My girlfriend and I live in a quiet subdivision on the north side of Columbia in a spacious 3 bedroom home with a yard that is mostly, but not completely, fenced in. We live only a half mile from the Bear Creek Trail and the Bear Creek dog park. The trail is a favorite for my 10 year old dog, Sasha, but we rarely go into the dog park. If your dog is no stranger to dog parks and does well around other dogs, this is defintely an activity we could do. If it's not clear by now, I am an active, experienced dog owner. I volunteer at the Central Missouri Humane Society so I handle all sorts of breeds with a wide variety of personalities and needs. Your pet will be in good hands, whether it's a drop-in, dog walk or an extended stay. I work a normal schedule during the weekdays but I come home during lunch. My girlfriend works overnight so there will always be someone at the house.

Tory is a great friend and passionate pet owner. As a volunteer at the humane society, caring for other’s pets comes second nature to him. He is the right person to give your pet the exercise, attention and temporary home they deserve!

There are no breeds I will not consider sitting, but I do have behavorial preferences. Since we have a dog and cat living in house, I ask that your dog be able to coexist peacefully with other pets and have little to no tendency towards aggression. At the end of the day dogs will be dogs and I understand there may be friction when introducing two strangers, especially in one of the dog's own territory. I will take extra precautions when introducing your dog to mine and I also have enough room in the housed to easily separate them if need be. If your dog is used to being out of a crate during the day I am willing to do the same but if not, you will need to provide your own crate. We even have a spare room that we are happy to lend your pet!
A typical day
Walks are taken at least once a day either around the subdivision and nearby park or along Bear Creek Trail. My dog and I also enjoy hiking on trails surrounding Columbia. If your dog is staying over the weekend and I have your blessing, I will take your dog on an adventure!
