Pet care experience
I am a teacher looking to help you with your furry friends this summer! I have been walking/sitting dogs for most of my life, and have experience with many breeds and sizes, from miniature poodles to Bernese and Husky mixes. I am ready to take care of your pets and treat them as my own. I have cared for more than one pet at a time, and am an avid walker, so your pets will get all the exercise and outdoor time that they need! I am available throughout the day, so I can take your pets at times convenient to you. If there are any special requests or information that I should know about your pets, please let me know. I will give your pets all the attention that they need!

Tori is absolutely a perfect fit for the job. Not only is she great with dogs, but she absolutely loves them. She has walked my dog for me multiple times, and my dog and I love when she comes over!
Tori has grown up around dogs. Babysitting the neighbors' dogs for the weekend, walking them around the block after school, etc. She recently helped me take care of my 3 month old puppy, and she had a great balance of all the love and snuggles with a firm but gentle training voice. I think being a teacher helps with that! And her patience. She has endless patience. Her first priority is always to say hi to the dog, wherever she is. And she's totally content with sitting on the couch with a puppy for however long they want to sit with her, providing constant scratches of course. She really REALLY loves dogs. Please let her babysit yours so she doesn't come steal mine!
Tori is the sweetest woman I know. She has always loved my family dogs (and my children). She would make an awesome Rover professional and she would love your animal while they were apart from you!!

I make sure that they have ample play time, and be careful to limit their play area to common areas where they can be safe and comfortable. Your pet will receive all of the same love and attention that you give, and will be well cared for until your return!

Tell me everything! Let me know your pet’s favorite things! Favorite spots for scratches and pets, favorite treats, and favorite places to go (in or out of the house). If there is a specific walk route they are used to, I will do my best to accommodate their usual walk. Please inform me if your dog is sensitive to anything in particular (noises, animals, scents, etc). Please let me know of anything that might bother or upset your dog, including any places on their body I should not pet them, any noises that make them upset, and if they should or should not be near other dogs. The more you tell me about your pet, the better I can care for them!
A typical day
I love walking to the local parks to get some fresh air and stretch my legs. Some favorites include Van Vorst park, Morris Canal park, Hamilton park and all along the waterfront. We will always stop for a quick water break after playing, and I always keep some treats on hand for good behavior. (Let me know their favorites!) If you’re comfortable with it, I love going to the dog parks and letting them socialize!

I am a teacher working part time in the summer, so my schedule will be flexible during the day. I am available weekdays all during the day. Please contact me directly for weekend services.
