Hi there, I'm Tony. I love that dogs are curious, energetic, and loyal. They're incredibly positive and I find that inspiring to be around. I'd love to meet you and your dog--and help you both out in any way I can! You and your dog will love that I'm experienced and passionate about their care. I grew up with many family dogs and have two of my very own (Furby, a 10 year old miniature schnauzer, and Tootsie, a 12 year old yorkie). I love learning every dog's individual personality and I'm very excited to get to know your dog! Dogs are an important part of my life and I have always enjoyed playing with and taking care of them. I love to walk dogs around neighborhoods and parks.I have a background in forestry, so we'll go on long walks to take a good look--and smell-- at the local flora! Dog care is a perfect fit for my schedule. I can be there for your dog whenever they need and can be a pillar of support for them when their owner is away. I can care for your furry friend in my home or yours, so they can be comfortable in their own home, or their home away from home. Tony took absolute perfect care of my dog Bowie! This was the first time I'd left her overnight since adopting her, and needless to say, Both Bowie ad I had a bit of anxiety of the unknown. But Tony remained cool, calm, yet upbeat and kind! He shared photos and details on what was going on all weekend. I'm a firm believer that a dog will mimic a person's energy, and Tony has great energy! Bowie came back to my place calm, relaxed and happy. I'll definitely be contacting Tony for all future dog sitting. Highly recommended!
Ferdinand had a great time with Tony. This was my first time having my puppy with a petsitter and was quiet apprehensive; however, Tony kept me posted throughout the day which really helps ease my worries. Best yet, Ferdinand get to go the the Central Park for walks. Tony was also nice enough to do a quick meet and greet prior to our scheduled date - which is also really helpful.
The whole time that I've known Tony, he has loved dogs -- all dogs, not just the 4+ that run around his parents' house. He is friendly, funny, joyful, and a little messy: just like the dogs that he enjoys so much. He has often babysat/puppysat my little brother and our 2 labradors and he always shows that he can deal with their problems and they are happy and clean when everyone returns.

I like to spend my time with each dog to make sure s/he feels comforted and receives the attention s/he deserves. I know that dogs can be nervous with new people, so giving them treats as instructed, playing with dog toys, going on extra walks, or letting them go outside to relieve themselves often are some of the things I do with dogs to make sure they feel safe. For dogs that are less active, I love hanging out with them while I read a book or watch a movie. I never leave the dogs alone for more than a quick restroom break. If you're looking for a place for your dog to stay over the weekend, our place is perfect for you! We have two easy going dogs that love others. However, if your dog does not like to be around ours, we have plenty of space in our house (two floors) to separate the dogs. I would spend my time with your dog to make them feel safe and comfortable.

I would like to know the activity level of each dog so that I can provide him or her with the best level of care. I am flexible with my activities and schedule and can accommodate any small friend. I'd love to learn more about their routine, preferences, and what I can do to make the two of you happy!
A typical day
I live two blocks from a small neighborhood park, so the dogs I take care of get to have walks through the park at the speed of their choice. When not walking, my air conditioned house is very comfortable for dogs to enjoy. No fragrances or incense in the house, just fresh air! I will be right there with them as I watch a movie, read a book, or play games. For my own dogs, they get 4 walks each day. Your dog can join us, or if your dog would like to be walked separately, that is easy to accommodate!

Availability
I work Monday through Friday, with availability to assist you and your dog from 4:30pm to 10:00pm each day. On weekends, I'm free 8am to 10pm.
