Fun and professional dog lover

Pet care experience

Hi everyone, I’m a dog lover, unfortunately, due to my work schedule I can’t have a pup of my own at this time. I signed up with Rover as a way to be able to give some love, time, and care to pets in the area who need it. You have my promise that I will treat your pup with the utmost level of love and care, so that you can have peace of mind when you can’t be there. I can’t wait to get to know you all and your pups. I have pet sit multiple animals in the past, for extended periods of time, including many larger breeds. A lot of time spent with german shepherds, pitts, boxers, labs, and more. I am comfortable handling dogs who pull and are reactive on leash as well. I am a medical professional in my day job and am comfortable with performing medical care if needed for your pet’s health/wellbeing. Happy to take your pup out just around the neighborhood or out to a local park. Or just to the backyard for a quick bathroom break and play session.

When I look for someone to watch my dog, I need to find a person who will care for her like she is their own and Tony does just that. He’s attentive and caring with my German Shepherd and he’s professional when working with me. I really appreciate how communicative he is and will send pictures and messages often to keep you updated! You can relax knowing that your dog is in kind, loving hands when they’re with Tony.

Safety, trust & environment

Very comfortable working in a variety of environments. If you are utilizing crate training or specific leash training and you need someone to work within specific guidelines we can work together to ensure all your and your pet’s needs are met.

Information Tony G. would like to know about your pet

Pet questions I would like to have answered prior to sitting include: Name of dog? Emergency contact information? Vets name and number? Dietary restrictions/allergies? Any reactivity to other dogs or any specific triggers? Any behavioral issues? Is it okay if I provide pre-approved treats?

A typical day

We can go for walks around the neighborhood, park, or elsewhere. If your pup has a high toy drive we can definitely get a solid play session in as well. If you have a high energy/drive dog we can go for a jog together or burn some energy with some fetch if that’s an option. I’m not a professional trainer by any means, but I am familiar with classical and positive operant conditioning methods. If you would like some behaviors worked on or reinforced, I am happy to work with you on whatever goals you would like to work towards.

Availability

When I am available I am on extended periods of time off. That gives me the time and energy to dedicate to your pet. My schedule is very flexible and am more than willing to work some odd hours/night shift hours if needed.
