I am confident with dogs of varying sizes, energy levels, and dispositions. I have taken care of my wonderful golden retriever, Duff, for nine years. During the two years of his puppy-hood, I was faithful to training and exercising him. He has grown up to be a lovable lion. The newest edition to our home is a quirky three year old Bishon Frise/Shitzu hybrid, Captain. Officially, his breed name is a Teddy Bear. From a young pup he added a bit more energy to the house. Training a small dog presented different challenges, but the hard work resulted in a laid back toy breed. Captain has grown up to be a fully house-trained, cuddly, socialized small dog. In addition to my own pets, I've house sat regularly for a family with four Beagles. I walked all four at once twice a day. I usually took the two more energetic dogs for another walk. These pups maintained their weight by the green bean diet (half food/half green beans). These four hounds hold a special place in my heart.
