At 20 years old, I am a life long dog owner who appreciates that our furry friends are part of our family. I have taken care of pets as small as a toy poodle to as large as a husky shepherd mix. These care experiences included long walks several times a day, varying types of leashes, and providing food, water, and medicine if necessary. I have also been known to spend time watching movies or playing with the dogs I look after if their owners are away for a long period of time. My friends often refer to me as a "dog whisperer" because of my unique ability to warm up to even the most timid of dogs. I underwent formal dog training with my childhood pet after we rescued him when he was just 2 1/2 years old, and have a knowledge base about how to approach and treat dogs with a history of abuse.
