A dog's best friend with an enclosed wild garden!
Pet care experience
Lifetime living with animals: dogs, cats, turtles, horses and ducks. None of my own right now, so I'm feeling like the luckiest man alive to have found Rover to satisfy my craving for dog walks, play and cuddles! Your doggy's holiday, in its safe rural woodland croft setting full of tennis balls and wildlife to sniff out, comes with a guarantee of at least two daily walks, with options of woodlands, fields, beaches or hills. Plenty of them off-lead too if you feel your companion can be trusted. I recently became a dog trainer, so if you're concerned about your dog pulling on the lead (including reactivity), having no concept of recall or perhaps a noticeable desire to play by its own rules, I'd be happy to help. (Disclaimer: If you subscribe to the "Purely Positive Reinforcement" ideology, and think telling your dog "No!" is a form of abuse, please find another sitter, and best of luck to you...)

Very happy to have left Rex with Tommy for a couple of days. He was looked after brilliantly in Tommy beautiful surroundings and even taking him to the beach which he loves! No hesitation in recommending Tommy o look after your pet!
Buddy has stayed with Tommy a few times and I love knowing he’s having a great time. It’s his holiday home and he loves it!
Another great experience with Tommy. Lots of photo and video updates. And a very happy and bouncy dog!
We are so delighted with the care and attention that Monte received in Tommy’s safe hands. He kept us reassured throughout our holiday with regular photos and videos. Monte has returned home content and settled. We would highly recommend Tommy to anyone who is keen for their dog to experience a home from home boarding experience.

Finally, as you'll see in the photos, I have a fenced in garden, albeit a bit on the wild side. It was approved by a fostering agency a while ago, and was able to contain an agile Rottweiler for 11 months, so it should be safe for most dogs, unless yours is an escape artist! The reason for mentioning this last bit is that a segment of the fence is only 1m high or so, facing my patch of woodland (dense prickly scrub - not very inviting). I've never known a dog to find a reason to explore beyond that fence line but I feel it's only sensible to mention. It's one of the reasons I always ask clients to do a Meet and Greet at mine, so you can have a look and make an informed decision. Recently trained in Dog First Aid and CPR.

Information Tommy K. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog socialised? How does s/he react to visitors/strangers? Is separation anxiety a concern? Is s/he crate trained? Failing that, a harness would be necessary for vehicle travel. Is your dog a digger? I grow vegetables and would prefer if most of them survived until Harvest Season :)
A typical day
Expect your furry friend to come home fully rested after all the adventures they'll have been on. I take great care in keeping them entertained and stimulated with plenty of interesting walks for them to sniff at all the wildlife, and plenty of playing in the form of fetch, tuggy, or learning or reinforcing tricks and cues, to tire out their brains too. And in between all the fun, your furry friend will have the opportunity to relax on a sunny front porch listening to bird song, or on a cold day, enjoying the warmth and sound of a crackling wood stove, with optional cuddles too.

Availability
I work on my woodland croft, and am often around the cabin or in the adjacent woods. I'll always try to bring the dogs with me if in the woods, but if I see your dog would rather relax in the cabin, I promise to check on them regularly and throw in a game of tug or fetch when I do, to spice up their day. In fact, I tend to focus on home projects when I have dogs over, so I can spend the maximum amount of time with them.
