Pet care experience
My name is Tom and that gorgeous lady sitting next to me is Emily! I grew up with a dog, but Emily was MY first dog. I did three months of research to learn how to understand their needs, interpret their body language, and build the strongest connection possible. Emily is now eight, and in those years she has helped so many others dog learn in her foot steps. Ever since I laid eyes on Emily, dogs have become a strong passion of mine. Up to this point, I have worked as a dog trainer in New York, as well as a socialization volunteer at the NORTHSHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE, the largest no-kill shelter in the country. Until now, working with dogs has been a side business. Now I want to make it my focus. I'm here to make sure your dogs are happy when you can't be there. And happier dogs, make happier humans, which makes a happier world!

Tom was great with Leia and with me. He was very knowledgeable about dogs and helped me understand more about training my pup. Leia instantly loved him, his dog, and his house. Tom made it really easy to leave her for 5 days, which is not easy for me.
Tom was great with my dog while she stayed with him. She also got along well with Tom’s dog. What could be better. I’ve used Tom twice so far and will go with Tom again next time I travel.

Tom was really great with Buster! He was easy to work with and you could tell he loved dogs. Buster took to him immediately. He sent us pictures every now and again to show us Buster was doing great! Tom was also really easy to work with when we had to extend Buster's stay not once but twice. No problems for Tom. We were confidant Buster was in great hands and we would absolutely use Tom again. Very highly recommended!!

A typical day
When I take Emily out, I enjoy everything from a hike in the woods to a stroll around the block to tire her out. Every morning I take Emily for a three mile walk along a closed road surrounded by beautiful fields by my apartment. Before we return home, we stop by the local dog park so Emily can catch up on the local news and see a few of her friends. I also take her to the apartment complex private dog park to run around and play before bed. This a great time to let Emily and her new friend have some one-on-one play time outside. There would be several shorter walks throughout the day, and when they are not out doing something active, they will be relaxing on the balcony drinking a dogs version of a margarita (water). If your dog has any particular hobbies or interests, I would be more than happy to work them into our schedule as well! You have to remember... you're not the only one going on vacation!
