Pet care experience
I am a huge dog lover, and always enjoy taking care of dogs. I’ve owned a number of dogs throughout the years, and have always loved having them around the house. We don’t have a dog of our own right now, so my wife and I thought that it would be a great idea to spend our time with dogs, taking care of them and providing love and care to both them and our community as well. Your dog will get our full attention when they’re in our care, so we’ll make sure they’re well-loved and well taken care of. We are very big into getting tons of exercise, so we’re good fits for dogs that love to stay active. I am pretty healthy and able (for an older guy, anyway) and am able to hike and play with dogs as long as they want. We live very close to a ton of great outside activities, so hiking and exploring will always be on the menu with us! Our home is 2000 square feet, one story, on a quiet street in a neighborhood called Gila Verde. Our home is nice, but the back yard is really the best part. Dogs love it! The shape of our lot is such that the back yard is large, and much of it is grass. There are also some mature trees that provide shade. A large covered patio that is the full width of the house has 4 ceiling fans. So, even when it is hot, we can be outside. When the weather is nice, we usually just leave our back door open, so we all can just walk in and out; it is like an extension of our family room. We live across the street from Red Mountain Park, which is great for taking walks. Also, there are many open areas a short drive away; including Usery Park. No matter what, we’ll have a lot of fun playing in the grass and getting lots of exercise!
Reviews
We loved the pictures and updates Tom sent while Rylee was in day care. She got plenty of play time with the other pups and came home all played out! Looking forward to using him again in the future.
Tom truly loves dogs and listens to what owners want for their pet. I only hope he's available each time I may need his services for my little Lily.
This is the first time we have left Kaya with anyone, we were nervous but the meet and greet put us at ease. Tom sent photos of her day and playmate, and she came home happy and exhausted!
Rosie spent a weekend with Tom and returned home happy and healthy. Thank you Tom.

Information Tom K. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? Does your dog have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your dog like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your dog do well around? What does your dog try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your dog? Sorry, but I do not take Pit Bulls, Dobermans or Rottweilers. I am better suited to medium and larger dogs. (at least 25 pounds) I am not the best fit for chihuahua's and similar sized dogs.
A typical day
I am home all day (except for an occasional, routine errand or two) and can give your dog plenty of attention. I like to play fetch, so we’ll make sure to get a couple of good games in throughout the day. We will also go for a walk, depending on what your dog likes to do; it will be anything from a short walk around the neighborhood to a couple mile walk to nearby Red Mountain Park to a real hike in the desert and mountains up to 5 or 6 miles. I will check with you before to find out what your dog enjoys and what they’re capable of doing. In the evening, we will probably watch a little TV; maybe out on the patio since we have a TV out there. I hope your dog is a sports fan! My wife also loves dogs, so she will be involved in the evenings and weekends also. I love to be outside, so we will do a lot of outdoor activities.
