Pet care experience
I have loved and cared for pets since I was a kid. I understand the particular needs of all age groups from puppies to elder care. I currently have a 5 y/o black lab who is attached to my hip and loved “working” with me at the fire station just about every shift since I snatched her up. She is gentle, easy going and friendly with all kinds of animals and people. I have the ability to separate the pups if they need a break while we spend time together. I am married, retired and moved to VT a couple years ago. In between working on the house I have lots of free time and now finally opening slots for some new clients. We have a nice big, clean, safe, smoke free home set on 40 acres with no kids or distractions. After over 25 years working on a ambulance and caring for the public I am happy to spend more of my time with your pups! Make sure you click our photos and see our photo gallery! Please remember cell/internet service around here is not great so sometimes there is a extra delay messaging back and forth and problems mapping walks. 😁 I am usually available most days/nights. If your local or just coming to the area and need coverage during a event I can help. If you are a regular or repeat customer trying to book and are not able to on my callender send me a message to double check availability. I am able to take care of your pets like they are my own. Pups here are living their best life! I take lots of pictures and send them over while they are here. Reachable 24/7 by phone and can accommodate special needs or concerns you have in our home or yours. I am a Lyme disease and Co-Infections survivor. Awareness of our surroundings and basic head to paw tick checks when we have exposure are standard of care year round. We are set on 40 acres in a historic old mill with a brook, private hayfields and trails to explore. Your pup is getting mostly constant care while they are with me. They are not just left alone like with many other sitters or in a sketchy kennel. My dog hangs out with me like family all the time. Your pup will just be joining our pack. They have lots of acess inside and and plenty of room to play and relax. All dogs and people only drink filtered well water here and its always available and fresh. I have the ability to separate if anyone needs a break. Crates are welcome and encouraged for stays. I have a medium to large crate available if needed.

Tom has boarded my dog overnight three times now as well as watched him for a half day. Neo LOVES Tom, his wife and their dog Amber. He gets so excited to see him and it puts me at ease to see the picture while we are away and to know that our dog is having his own happy vacation, instead of missing us!
Tom has watched him for a day and boarded my Doodle twice now and always takes amazing care of him. He comes back happy and tired each time and I get updates while we are away to show he is adjusting fine. He gets excited for each return.
Two happy pups and plenty of pictures! This was our second booking with Tom and the excitement of the dogs on drop off is enough proof for me that he is fantastic with them! Thanks again Tom!

A typical day
You can choose what works best for your dog! Love to engage and play, throw the ball, go on adventures walking around the property, swimming in the brook and farm pond next door. My dog LOVES to swim. I can tire them out with lots of excitement or provide relaxing friendly support and companionship. Really whatever they need. If your staying with us for the day or the night then you will just be joining the pack and hanging out with us like they would at home with a little added fun. Your pup is a priority!

We are 4 miles south of GMHA Green Mountain Horse Association in South Woodstock VT.
