Pet care experience
MEET & GREET REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW CLIENTS, and not at the last minute. I'm 66 and owned dogs and cats most of my childhood and adult life but no pets the last few years. In the late 80's I was a volunteer and fundraiser at the SF Humane Society, and later three years of training with Julie Kircher at the Sonoma Humane Society, an unforgettable experience. Some Rover people charge far less but besides my general experience II pay close attention to their health, digestion, anxiety levels, behavior patterns and issues, and when you pick up your fur person(s) I can often show you simple methods to deal with seemingly protracted or hopeless situations and problems. - I'm a major cat person too and I love boarding kitties. - Dogs always on leash, never allowed to snatch junk off the street or get foxtails or deal with scary dogs. No dog has ever gotten loose or been bitten. - I've boarded 2000+ dogs here and never met one I didn't like, even the troublemakers. Kindness is the key and it works wonders with all dogs.
Reviews
I had an outstanding experience with Todd. His exceptional communication, attention to detail, and genuine love for dog made him a stand out. From the start, Todd made me feel reassured with clear and prompt communication. He took the time to understand my dog's needs and routines, ensuring a comfortable stay. Throughout, Todd provided regular updates and photos, showing how happy and well-cared-for my dog was. His meticulous attention to detail, from feeding to medication schedules, gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend Todd to anyone seeking a caring and attentive dog boarder.
Todd was an incredible sitter-- a true dog lover and excellent communicator. Our dog Duffy is a geriatric, fussy pomeranian with a litany of medical issues and Todd treated him like family. Ever since we got Duffy back, he's had a pep in his step that I hadn't seen before. I think he really benefitted from Todd's care and attention. Todd was very diligent about attending to his various needs and sent us great updates and photos throughout our two week trip. Two weeks is a long time to leave a buddy with someone you don't know, but I didn't worry once about his safety, comfort, or happiness
Todd was wonderful with my dog, Boss, and a pleasure to communicate and coordinate with!
Todd took really good care of Robi. Such a caring approach he had with him. We had lots of updates on how was doing. He even gave us tips on trainings. Thank you!!

We talk on the phone for a few minutes (call my Rover number anytime), then during the M&G I'll have a few more questions so there are no surprises, that usually takes about 30 minutes. You can park in my carport but parking is pretty easy here. It's a very nice neighborhood.
A typical day
In one photo it looks like a dog is driving my car, so let me be clear, I never let dogs drive my car even though some really want to. In addition to the above we'll probably go to Smith Park (a block away) and/or down to the burrito shop, often the lake too. In the morning we always hang out a bit in my garden with the fruit trees and squirrel observatory. I always take them out soon as I wake up and just before bed, and another late morning walk then a long one early evening then a quick one just before we go to sleep. If they have a hard time getting to sleep I'll read them a story, and if I have a hard time getting to sleep I'll ask them to read me a story. Their water bowl is always full, on hot days my apartment stay cool, I have plenty of dog beds, toys, safe bones and good books for them to read. Besides the walks they get hugs (if they like that), belly rubs and my lap (but there is a weight limit). If they are bored I breakout my crazy collection of antlers, femurs, glow-in-the-dark balls, fake rats, tug-of-war ropes, squeaky weird things and stuffed animals that may or may not be missing eyes or body parts. They can sleep anywhere but on my face, they can jump on furniture and have full run of my commodious apartment. When we go to my bank the tellers will fawn over them and try to handout treats of dubious quality. It's like a Club Med vacation for dogs but without the swimming pool and gambling.
