I am a student and young professional who loves dogs, and all things animals! It’s been a joy to take care of pets from my family members and friends as a hobby and thought it would be fun to do so through Rover as well. My mom used to do Rover and I would help her with dog sitting/boarding from time to time as well. A couple of owners even asked what we did with their dogs as some had returned better trained and others showed signs they were missing our home! In taking care of other dogs, my family and I would take them on walks and runs, take them to parks, play fetch and water games, and take them out to get puppuccinos (with permission of course!). We loved it so much that we encouraged mom to adopt a dog of our own permanently as it was hard saying bye to most of the dogs who came through our doors (her name is Zuri and my parents just love her!). I’ve recently moved away from home so I don’t get to see my dog very often and getting to take care of other’s animals would mean so much! In my new space, there’s lots of open room indoors for fun play time as well as a lovely dog park just a couple of feet from my unit (within my gated apartment complex) with great opportunity for outdoor fun too!
