I have had dogs and cats my entire life and understand how much they become part of the family. Trusting someone to sit, walk or visit is can be nerve racking. Rest assured your family member will get the love and attention they deserve. I take very good care of them by learning their personality, which they all have and understanding their needs. I am also adapt at obedience training if applicable. Your family member will be in very good hands while you are away whether for the day or even a week. I have 1 dog and two cats in my home. My dog is very timid, 13 yrs old. My cats will avoid dogs but cats will not bother them. I look forward to meeting you and your family member whether at your home or mine.
