I'M PASSIONATE AND RESPONSIBLE!

Pet care experience

Related Experience: I am a nature person and am passionate about all animals. A couple of years ago, I went to China to volunteer at the Panda Reservation Base shortly after an earthquake that happened there. I mainly took care of the adult pandas rescued from the wild. Through working with those precious creatures, I've learned not only to take care of these animals but more importantly to respect them. I've also worked with Fidelco Guidedog Foundation in Connecticut a few years ago. The object was to raise awareness and funds to support Fidelco Foundation's work to continuously provide blind people with high-quality eye seeing dogs. About me: Dogs are my soft spots. I literally say "hi" to every single dog I see on the street (I am sure you can relate). I am a grad student at Johns Hopkins University studying Economics. I became a dog sitter with Rover.com in summer 2016 and have been doing that every summer ever since. I love and respect every dog that I've taken care of. I always think that if I needed a sitter for my dog, I would want to find a dog sitter who is loving, respectful, accommodating, friendly and responsible, so that is what I am going to do. Accommodation: 1. I live in a dog-friendly apartment with approximately 250 sq. ft. balcony; it is pretty generous for an apartment. I like to let the dog out in the morning and late afternoon when the temperature is cooler and with my supervision. 2. I clean up the floor to make sure there are no small objects that might choke the dogs and then I like to let the dog roam freely in the apartment unless is specifically instructed by the owner not to. 3. I also have a large exercise pan which I use when I am not home. I spend most of my time home when my status is shown as available. When I am not home, I will usually be back soon or other members of the family will be home. I never let the dog alone in the apartment for more than 3 hours. 4. I live 10 mins away from Central Park. Taking dogs to the dog run is my favorite thing to do. The dogs get to run freely and socialize with other dogs. I find it the most stress-relieving for the dogs in a new environment. They always come back more adjusted and happier. The dog run is definitely a plus! I am looking forward to meeting you and your beloved companion. Meanwhile, please feel free to contact me with any questions. Sincerely, Tina

Tina is a very nice lady. My dog was diarrhea at the first day. When I get him back he already full recovered. I highly recommended.

Tina was great during Heidi’s stay. She made sure Heidi was comfortable and happy. Great communication and daily video and photos of Heidi. Tina made sure my energetic husky was well exercised and kept a good eye on her. Would definitely recommend Tina and will use her again when needed.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a playpen for the dogs, so when I am not home, I can make sure the dogs are in a controlled environment. The kitchen is gated so the dogs can't get on the counter and into trash cans. I always take extra precautions when it comes to pet safety. Otherwise, I usually let dogs roam freely in the apartment.

A typical day

I love to spend time with the dogs and keep them company! There is a dog park right below my building, so the your beloved gets to social with the other dogs in the area freely. Who doesn't love a wild run in a dog park where it is full of exciting and familiar smells when they are away from home! I am 100% trusted! And I care so much of each puppy, so it is guaranteed that your dog will have a fun time here while you are out of the town!
