Dog walker & dedicated dog mom <3

Pet care experience

I have had, and havd been around dogs my whole life. I started working professionally with animals in 2010, mostly in rescue and rehabilitation. I started with Mutt Matchers and Friends in Kingman, AZ. I was one of two employees. My job was to run the day to day of the rescue and more importantly to care for the dogs. Not only was it just the normal needs, but also working on any issues they had, and doing everything to keep them mentally healthy while in the shelter. Dogs can become very depressed or neurotic in a shelter situation if they are not given the attention they need. While in Arizona, I would go volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. My favorite volunteer area was at Old Friends. We moved to northern California in mid 2012, I started volunteering for Another Chance Animal Welfare League, and worked as a groomer for Pampered Pets. I eventually became the care taker for the ACAWL sanctuary. We just moved to Oceanside at the first of April (2017) and I am now a stay at home dog mom/ dog walker. I am taking a break from working in rescues, I am enjoying being able to help pet parents with walks and check ins. Happy to give all the love and affection to the fur kids while their parents are away. I know my dogs enjoy company, they always feel so special when they get extra attention. I currently have two dogs, one of which is special needs. My special needs dog suffered from Valley Fever (a desert fungus that typically causes a respiratory isssue, but my dog had it settle in on his scapula) It caused bone and tissue damage, his leg muscles atrophied and he almost lost his leg. We got him using his leg with lots of encouragement and though it is weak he still has it. The most important thing I have learned over the years is that every animal is different, they all have their own unique needs. I will be understanding of your animals needs, and do my best to have them feel secure, safe, and confident with me.

My pets love Tina!! She is prompt, trustworthy, very conscientious of their special needs, and always sends fun stories and photos during the visits! Tina is exactly what I was looking for in a pet-sitter.
