Hello! I’m a 37 year old, stay-at-home mom. Before deciding to stay home with my kids I worked as a nurse for 10 years. Now that my kids are getting older and in school I’m looking for some fun and active ways to keep busy during my free time. Being an avid animal-lover I thought, what better way to keep busy than to hang out with cute dogs and cats in my free time?! The bonus is I also get to help someone in the process. Having pets of my own, I know it can be stressful worrying about their care when I need to be away from them. Currently I have 3 dogs. Two are mixed-breed rescues and the third is a Frenchie. Their names are Echo, Tiny and Bruce. Echo is our 13 yr old chocolate lab mix (perhaps mixed with a German Short-Haired Pointer). He’s been in our family for 9 years and is our tolerant, patient, old guy. Tiny is our petite 4 yr old Maltese/Yorkie. She is our shy girl and had a tough life before becoming part of our family 1.5 years ago. Bruce is our 1 yr old French Bulldog and quite the character. He joined our family at 8 weeks old. He’s the most rambunctious of the group. All 3 dogs are up-to-date on their immunizations, treated monthly with heart-worm and flea/tick medication, mild-tempered and good with other dogs. When doing drop-ins or house/dog sitting I do not plan on bringing any of our 3 dogs with me. They prefer to stay home with their dad and sisters. My very first job when I was 12 yrs old was pet sitting for a family who lived up the street. I grew up in a house with many types of pets - dogs, cats, chameleons, a snake, a turtle, a chinchilla, a prairie dog, a goose, gerbils, hamsters, fish, and birds. It was quite literally a zoo sometimes! I feel extremely capable and comfortable around animals of all kinds. *As my yard is not fenced in and to provide safe care, all clients’ dogs will be allowed outdoors only while wearing a leash.
