I have raised and had pets in my whole adult life, and was raised with a dog, all through school. I have a nice fenced in backyard run area 20 by 40 feet plus sides with run area to block off dogs that don't get along. I walk my dog three to four times a day, I am home most of the day and only go out for short shopping periods if needed. My typical day is I take my dog on walk for 20 to 30 minutes in morning and then have breakfast and feed dog, while the dog sleeps, I do housework etc, watch TV. After lunch I take dog on brief walk in park or let run in back fenced in yard. Usually around Three I play with dog for a half hour, then I make dinner and let the cats and dog run around the kitchen, where they try to help with preparing the meal and they try get a few snacks that I have set aside for them. I always bring in the animals before dark, and make sure they get lots of water. I take the dog on a walk for the last time around 7 PM and then we play for a few minutes when we get back home and go to bed around nine or the dog sleeps on my lap while watching TV and then the Dog goes to sleep with me.
