EBE: Energizer Bunny on Expresso!!

Pet care experience

As a lifelong dog owner and dog lover, I’m excited to meet your pup and provide care while you are away. My style of dog sitting is patient, energetic, and kind. The thing I love about dogs the most is their sense of intuition — they can read your emotions and care for you. Dogs are a great judge of character! I have worked with pets since I was six years old, as both a foster parent and as an owner myself. I have worked with all types of dogs, from senior dogs to puppies and dogs with disabilities. Most recently I have been working as a dog walker in the center city Philadelphia area. To me, customer service is all about the happiness, safety, and comfort of my clients. When your dog is in my care, I aim to make you (and your pup) feel confident and comfortable. In addition to dogs, I have experience with lorikeets and cats. I love lorikeets! They are cute, a bit temperamental, but manageable if you understand they need their space. As for cats, they are king/queens of their domain! They don't need too much attention until they request it. I love all animals, and I would love to help owners with these pets as well. I get so much joy from spending my day with canine companions and their unconditional love. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup.

Tim was great! Extremely responsive and professional, plus Shadow absolutely loves him. I will definitely ask him to watch my pup again.

Timothy is TOPS. He was lovely and gentle with my older Ridgeback. He was not afraid to help her into the stroller for large dogs she needed to get to street level, get her out, walk her, and then get her back into the stroller. He was flexible and reliable.

Information Timothy L. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know bowel movement schedules, favorite toy types, known play areas during walks, and temperament with other animals. If the owner is comfortable during our meet and greet, usually the dog is very receptive and open to working with me. Especially if I come bearing treats! Those with a more temperamental side might need multiple visits with the owner around until they become accustomed to me. I do not have any breed preferences — every dog is a friend of mine.

A typical day

First, we’ll wake up and shake off the sleep! I love starting the day with a morning jog. Once we’ve gone out for a quick walk and potty break, we’ll come back home for some water, a snack, and a rub down or two. After that, we’ll have some morning down time until lunch — a feast of kibbles and bits. Then, we’ll head out for a brisk walk in the afternoon sunlight. In the afternoon we’ll have some constructive play time — fetch, tug-o-war, treats in a toy — sounds good, right? Afterwards, another evening walk before bedtime. We’ll go for walks in Rittenhouse square park and the surrounding blocks. I live in a super dog friendly area — there are so many highrises, so many dogs who want to play, so many dog lovers and treats from pet shops! I am an avid fitness guru. I believe that moving the body settles the mind. I would love to go for a jog and stop for a few squats and push ups (with an occasional roll in the grass and belly rub). Maybe an adventure on the park trail to see if we can find that one golden fetch stick? Or maybe find a new marking spot so that the other guys know The BIG DOG is in town!
