I have always had a dog since the age of six, have experience training puppies, working with dogs with behavioural issues (neglect/poor-care, separation anxiety, dog-dog aggressiveness, leash pulling, etc.). I know how to be firm without scaring or confusing dogs, and know that positive reinforcement is the key to changing a dog's bad habits. I've never met a dog I didn't like, and (not to be immodest) but have the calm, patient, and loving demeanor required to make a dog of any size or breed feel comfortable. While I of course love walking well behaved dogs, I also get a great deal of satisfaction with the knowledge that I can help improve a dog's (and their owner's!) lives. While I have affinity and love for all animals, I am most certainly a dog person through and through - even down to my Chinese zodiac sign!

I have known Timothy for many years and have seen him interact with and care for my dogs and my sister's dogs. He is a very gentle caring person who has a natural affinity for dogs and other pets. He also knows how to be be firm when needed. When I get my next dog I will be happy to have him walk her and stay at at my place to care for her while I am away. Liz
Timothy is a responsible and loving dog caregiver. My dog is small but quite a guardian. Timothy made friend with him in no time. He was on time to walk and feed my dog. I know Timothy is happy to be around dogs so it comes as no surprise that he does so well with them. Plus he is gentle with dogs while knowing how to handle them. It is easier to have a dog with people like Timothy aroung to help.
Timothy C has been a dog owner and dog lover for most of his life. He has a calm, reassuring but firm way with his own and other peoples' dogs. He has participated in puppy training classes and in management classes for dogs with behavioural problems. He never shouts, but always gains the respect and love of dogs he interacts and plays with. A dog caregiver to be trusted.
Tim is a longtime (now 28 years) dog owner and dog lover through two Goldens, a rescue mix, and his new Black Lab, Raven of Westmount. He's awesomely good with dogs - and they with him.

I have always had labs and retrievers myself, so have a slight preference for these breeds, but am open to walking any type of dog. Different breeds have different needs and attitudes (though most of a dog's behaviour is due to nurture rather than nature), and as such I would like to know some basic details about the dog. The dog's name of course, as well as their breed, age, and approximate size.
A typical day
There are two large dog parks within a ten minute walk of my neighbourhood, and am happy to give larger or more energetic breeds the extra exercise they require. There is also a large wooded area at the top of Westmount (summit woods) where dogs can be let off leash (if appropriately trained) available for dogs that need longer walks to tire them out. I am open to walking more than one dog at once (to a maximum of three), but am also perfectly happy to walk dog's on their own if that is what their owners prefer.
