I’ve grown up in a household with dogs, so I’ve lived with them my entire life. Immediate family aside, I also have extended family members with dogss of their own that are very different in breed and behavior from mine, but since an early age I’ve always been seen as someone who could make sure their dogs’ needs were met if an aunt, uncle or cousin had to get out of town for work or an emergency, and their canine companions needed somewhere to stay a while. Now that I’m away from home and enrolled in college I miss my own dog (Simba, a golden retriever) more than anything, and I’m sure she misses the spa-style bath days and runs we would go on during the afternoons. My passion aside, a big part of why I want to help on Rover is for any dogs and owners that find themselves in a similar position, and also to save up enough to be able to move my own dog in with me a give her the love and support that all dogs deserve.
