Pet care experience
I took care of my family dog growing up, but that was more casual. Since I’ve gotten my dog Rio, I’ve taken dog care and training a lot more seriously. My dog knows a few dozen words, can fetch, spin, play dead, has excellent recall, and will listen to commands and their associated hand signals from distance. I’ve learned all my dog training from books and videos from primarily Zak George and Sophia Yin. If you have specific things you would like your dog to work on, I would be happy to help with their training while they stay with me and can give you some pointers on what I think would be best. I work full time from home. I take my dog out in the morning to the park, but he has endless amounts of energy so he would be happy to play with a new friend all day long. If you have a lazier dog, I'll make sure your furry baby has plenty of alone time to nap. I’m full time work from home and can watch your dog all day long with potty breaks roughly every 2-3 hours. If you let me know what tricks he or she is working on, we can also work on some training. I am the only unit on the garden level of my building so there is no one under me and there won’t be any complaints. I believe I’m also the only unit in my building that has any dogs. For your and my dog's safety, I will only care for one dog (in addition to my own) at a time so that I make sure to keep a close enough eye on everyone. I live very close to a (non-fenced) park where the dogs can roam around if your dog has good recall. Otherwise I can walk your dog around my quiet neighborhood or take him to a nearby fenced dog park after work.
Reviews
Tim was very kind to watch Pepper on a short notice. He gave me a lot of updates and was patient with this puppy of mine. I felt very comfortable leaving my girl with him. Thanks, Tim!
Tim was great with Sam. She is just a pup so a lot of work but Tim exceeded expectations taking care of her. He is knowledgeable and caring and took time to play with her. Thanks Tim!
Tim is a responsible person and absolutely a dog lover. Dogs are very comfortable with him. In addition to cuddle and play time at his apartment, he takes his dog to dog parks and goes on long-walks. He also read a lot of books about dogs so he has the ability to recognize behavioral signals and needs, and has knowledge of dog's grooming and healthcare needs. His personal traits of patience, thoughtfulness, conscientiousness, and the ability to interact and communicate with dogs and dog owners will make him an excellent dog sitter. I would 100% recommend Tim.
I have known Tim for almost 10 years now. He is an easy-going and considerate person. He is very knowledgeable about looking after pets, particularly dogs. He is well educated on the best ways to look after dogs and is always reading the latest books on dog training. I would highly recommend him as an excellent pet sitter/dog walker.

I am at my desk most of the day and have a view of about 30% of my apartment from here. My dog stays with me most of the time, but if your dog likes to roam and play, my dog will certainly accompany. I have a doggy first aid kit and have access to transportation if there is an emergency. There are no dangerous products within reach of dogs and I'm very familiar with what foods are poisonous to dogs. We can discuss beforehand what you will and will not allow your dog to eat though.

Information Tim Y. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know what commands your dog knows, how well your dog follows those commands, as well as what boundaries or behavioral issues your dog has. I don't have anything against dogs that have separation anxiety or resource guard, but these are things I would need to know in order to make sure I don't overly stress your dog accidentally. If you have a preferred emergency contact if there's an incident, please provide that contact number. Also if your dog has any known allergies or things he or she cannot eat. I won't test their appetite since eating too many new things can easily cause a dog to get diarrhea, but if you're fine with me giving your dog chicken or carrots, then I can definitely do that. Feel free to provide your own treats if you have specific things that work well.
A typical day
I am full time work from home, and have a very flexible work schedule so I take my dog to the park in the morning because he has excellent recall and won't run away from me. I will then sometimes walk him at noon (and sometimes won't). After work, I take him to a different fenced in park where he can play with some other dogs. My dog loves to fetch and play so he'll definitely tire your dog out if (s)he has a lot of energy.
