My partner and I have been in Chicago for several years. Both of us grew up in homes with dogs and I owned my dog for 16 years. She recently passed and we aren't ready to own again yet, but would love to provide a safe and comfortable place for your pet while you are away. We live in Bucktown right near Holstein park and have a private fenced yard. My work schedule allows me to be off work 4 days out of the week. I work in the medical field and am comfortable providing care to special needs and geriatric dogs. We can administer meds (for a small additional fee), accommodate special diets and are comfortable with dogs with special needs. Your pet will receive all the love and attention we showed ours. We have plenty of toys, a comfy bed and lots of love to share! Please remember to bring all necessary items for the care of your dog with you at the time of drop off. This includes food for the entire stay and crate if your pet is crate trained. Also, we recommend bringing some favorite items such as blankets, toys, assorted treats as well as supplies such as puppy pads and poop bags. We will assume by requesting our services that your pet is housebroken unless otherwise discussed. We will follow your usual potty schedule to avoid disruption in your pets routine and will provide a minimum of 3-4 potty breaks/walks outside daily and can provide more if your pet indicates that they need to go. If your pet is having multiple accidents in the house or it becomes clear that they are not housebroken or are not indicating when they need to go, we will inform you of this and if it continues to be a problem or damage occurs, there may be additional fees for cleaning expenses incurred.
