Pet care experience
I meet new dogs often and am used to many different sizes and breeds. Walks are usually between 1-3 miles and I am used to handling dogs that pull or are heavy. Bully breeds are welcome (and encouraged!) I can also help with a training schedule if you work on manners or tricks a certain amount of time every day. Handling medication is ok for me. I am ok around other animals, and if there is a cat in your home that needs fed as well I can take care of that. I can also look in on reptiles or other small animals. I am available short notice for emergencies and enjoy developing relationships with dogs that I care for.

I prefer to meet dogs beforehand to learn any rules of the house or behaviors to look out for. I would love to introduce my dog if your dog would like someone to play with, but I have no issue leaving him at home with my family. I understand that not every dog behaves the same or has the same background and I am enthusiastic about learning what they need to be the most comfortable with me.

I would like to know about any behavior issues such as resource guarding or if there are any health issues that I need to be aware of. I always like to ask about how you get your dog to return if they escape. Veterinary information emergency contacts are appreciated.
A typical day
I love playing games with dogs. Tug of war, frisbee, or fetch are the most familiar to me, but I am always excited to learn new ways to engage with pets and meet them at their comfort level depending on age and background. I can adjust the speed of walks based on activity level and am happy to stop for breaks for senior dogs.

I get off of work at 2:00 and have the rest of the day for walks and drop ins. 60 minute walks are okay with me. I also do weekend walks and drop ins earlier in the day if needed.
