Pet care experience
I have had dogs around for most of my life, ranging from Pomeranians to huskies to Rottweiler/Irish Setter mixes, a variety of small to large dogs! I have experience with all kinds of pups at all energy levels. Outside of owning dogs, have helped neighbors and friends with watching/walking their dogs and other pets for as long as I can remember. I have also had a few clients who have pets with behavioral issues, anxiety, etc., so I have gotten used to working out plans and methods with the owners to help put both themselves and their pups at ease. I am passionate about caring for all animals and am always willing to go above and beyond for my companions!

I usually ask that owners bring a bed and some toys that their pets are used to. I have a small patio area for some outside time if necessary, always monitored. I usually have some treats on hand in case the pups don’t come with any of their own. I try to keep the pets on the same schedules the owners have: walking, feeding, etc. and always put their comfort first. I tend to limit interactions with other animals as a safeguard unless given explicit permission or requests from owners to socialize. Basically, I do my best to provide whatever the pets may need to feel comfortable, considering their well being and safety all the while. I want your pets to feel comfortable and like they’re on vacation, without any fear or worries.

If they are okay to be left alone in case I have to go to the office, as I am currently flexing between work from home and in-office. I also find it important to know of any separation anxiety or likelihood for potty accidents. If the pets might be anxious, have history of aggression towards people or other animals, or anything that might jeopardize their or my own safety. Ideally I would like to know about their personality and how much I might need to be patient and let interactions be on their terms only, or if I’m okay to come up and pet/play with them at any point.
A typical day
Walks, snuggles eating together, mostly seeing what the dog wants to do and then acting accordingly! I have some nice parks and walking trails near my apartment, as well as some neighborhoods in the area that are nice to walk through! Depending on the dog and the length of the stay, I may make a run to the store for some new toys or treats, also.

Availability
I currently am flexing between work from home and in-office. When I’m working from home, my breaks are flexible enough for me to take the pups on walks and potty breaks whenever they need them! If I have to go to the office, I am able to come back to visit with them on my lunch break. I’m fairly flexible and most importantly want to meet the needs of the animal in my care!
