Professional Trainer for Boarding

Pet care experience

Hello everybody! I am a full-time professional dog trainer and enthusiast who specializes in obedience training looking to have some fun and stay connected in the K9 community! I currently own and run a training business. In the past - I've worked at doggie daycare’s, training facilities, and have light experience as a veterinary technician as well. I can provide lots of love, attention, exercise, and park-time fun! I own two high-spirited Belgian Malinois. One is a registered service animal. We do a ton of activities together. If you have a "problem area” you'd like to work on, I can likely help you with that as well :). I do take reactive dogs and dogs who display aggressive behaviors on a case-by-case basis. In any case, you can trust your 4-legged baby will be happy, healthy, and very well cared for in your absence, and may even come back with a new trick or two :) ! Pet care IS my life. This is what I do. All day and every day. Our life is a routine which is rooted and based on training, love, and general care to make sure the pups are happy, healthy, and learning and progressing! Dogs are always supervised. We provide supervised and appropriate play time and engagement. We have dedicated nap times. We either provide a crate for naps and sleeping, or a full bedroom for dogs who can be fully trusted, have anxiety, or who need a break.

Tiffany was sensational. Friendly, responsive, and so caring/loving to my dog. He was incredibly happy to see me but I could tell he missed Tiffany’s home when we left! Will definitely rebook in the future and recommend to anyone!!

Tiffany took great care of my two dogs while I was on vacation. She took the time to provide detailed updates, which made it clear that she was spending quality time with them because she described their personalities perfectly. My younger dog had some difficulty sleeping at night without me (we haven’t spent much time apart) and Tiffany spent the night on the couch with her to make sure she felt safe and comforted. When I arrived to pick them up, while they were excited to see me, neither seemed eager to leave, which must mean they enjoyed their stay. I will definitely use Tiffany again in the future.

I can't recommend Tiffany enough. She went above and beyond by taking great care to understand our dogs habits to make them feel comfortable, providing daily pictures and messages of how they are doing, and even cleaning our dog bowls. Would absolutely book again.

I do not have a yard. We take approximately 3 long walks per day. For the young pups we provide 2-3 potty breaks as well. The bottom level is a play area. Via my policy your pup will never be left unattended. They are allowed on the furniture, upon invitation ONLY, and so long as Y O U allow it. We visit the lovely Patterson Park daily. If your pup could use a break I can provide that with a crate, or a separate bedroom for them to relax.

Information Tiffany T. would like to know about your pet

It’s helpful to know what your dogs routine at home is. Also let me know if your dog has any special requirements or behaviors. Or any likes/dislikes I should take into account. Any info to make them more comfortable while away from mom and dad helps. * If your dog has problem behaviors or anxiety, I need to know this ahead of time. I can work with MOST behaviors so long as I am made aware, and can therefore spot time out to work with it. * Please keep in mind that this is my home, and not a daycare or facility. If your pup has severe separation issues this may not be the best fit. Your pup will get all the benefits of having a live-in and experienced trainer. I provide lots of stimulation, and free information to you as well (unless requested otherwise). * I rarely accept puppies under 1 year who have not been crate trained. Also, if after your adult dog arrives and it is not potty trained OR crate trained, I will need to charge an additional $10 per day for training services. (Senior, special needs, and dogs with a medical condition are exempt to this of course!)

A typical day

It’s so important to meet the needs of each dog, physically and mentally. Hounds like to sniff, so we play games that capture that need, such as “search” or “find it” with a treat or a toy. Shepherds love a mental challenge, and retrievers tend to love “fetch” so we will play that. Some breeds prefer brain games and puzzles, so we do enrichment exercises and play learning games. Patterson Park is a few blocks away and we typically walk to visit multiple times a day. Lots of new sniffs and smells and room to roam. On weekends we often have “field trips” where we take pack walks in Patapsco State Park, go hiking to a nearby river and waterfall, walk on a trail, take field trips into Fells Point and walk around, go to a private beach to go swimming, visit a FULLY enclosed Rec Center with agility equipment for trainers like me, etc. * We provide long 20ft leashes to give them some freedom to play when we are in an open area, if they like to swim, etcetera.

I am working in and out of the home - I make my own schedule and set blocks of time aside for walks, training, exercise, and supervised play time. I often have dogs stay-and-training as well, so your pup will likely have friends to interact with and come home tired and happy.
