I have had a dog in my house since I was born, and rescued my first furry friend when I was 20, in college. My family dogs have ranged from as small as teacup yorkie all the way up to a Great Dane. After volunteering at the shelter where I got my pup, I have a lot of experience calming down anxious puppies and acclimating them to new environments. At the shelter, I bathed dogs, fed them, walked them, and exercised them. Since my move to New York, I take the light of my life, Gretchen Wieners, an adorable 30 pound dachshund mix, with me wherever I go. She gets along famously with other dogs and loves sharing her toys with friends old and new. I live up the street from Columbus Park, there is no dog run, but there is plenty to explore!
