I have been around dogs since I was born. I am a huge dog lover and animal activist and have been sitting for dogs for about 20 years. I have fostered/rescued all shapes and sizes of dogs without hesitation and without failure; which I take pride in. My daughter and I volunteer at a local shelter on a regular basis. I have experience with all ages and sizes. My love for these animals is pure, as if they were my own. My husband and I have always had dogs growing up and now have 2 of our own, both of which were rescued from awful situations. While I do not have any breed or size preferences in dogs I watch, I will not watch a dog in heat, an aggressive dog, a dog with severe separation anxiety, a dog not good with other dogs, nor a dog that is not up to date on all vaccinations and current on flea and tick prevention. I also will not watch a dog that is not house broken, puppies are the exception. I will not use pee pads in my house. Dogs must do their business outside. I know accidents happen but I will not tolerate marking of any kind in the house or dogs that use in-house alternatives. I truly understand how hard it can be to leave your pets behind while you travel, and how reassuring it is to have someone taking care of them who will treat them like their own. During your dog's stay they will be treated like part of our family. They are welcome to chill on the couch, run laps in the back yard, and even lounge on the back porch! I am home throughout the day so I will be able to give your dog all the love and attention they need! With that being said, I am not home 24/7 so please do not reach out if you have a dog that can not be left alone for any length of time. There is absolutely no way I can commit to being home 24/7, as I do live a very active lifestyle. I'll follow your regiment the best I can to keep them familiar with their individual routine. This will be their home away from home. I always treat pups as if they were my very own. They are apart of my every day schedule and apart of our family for their stay! If you are concerned with how your dog with fair while you are away, please book a doggy day care visit before their stay. This is the best option in my eyes to get your dog acquainted with myself and my family. A quick meet and greet is not indicative of how your dog will fair nor does it give your dog enough time to get acquainted with its surroundings for its stay. I do not require doggy day care, though in some instances I will dependent on what is presented to me as far as the dog's background. WHAT I REQUIRE: -Dogs MUST be fully vaccinated with proof -Dogs MUST be current on flea and tick preventative -A dog’s profile MUST be completely filled out on Rover. -Dog MUST be good with other dogs. Do not send a request if your dog is “mostly” good or selective of dogs. WHAT YOU SHOULD/SHOULD NOT BRING FOR YOUR PET’S STAY: -Food -Proof of Vaccines -Crate - Only if it is required for nighttime or when left alone, as I do not have a crate. -Bed/blanket, if they have a favorite one. If not, I have plenty of blankets and beds they can use! -You do not have to bring bowls, unless your dog uses a slow feeder. I have extras that are cleaned daily. - I recommend not bringing any toys or anything that is of value to your dog. Toys are played with a lot so they may not return in the same condition. I have plenty of toys they can play with! -Any medicine that will be needed for their stay. Please also have detailed instructions on how and when to give the medicine. **PLEASE NOTE PICKUP/DROP OFF HOURS** Monday-Friday hours are 9am-8pm Saturday & Sunday- 9am-9pm M-F Daycare Hours - Drop off @ 9, Pick Up @ 3:30 Pick up and drop off times will be agreed upon while booking. I will confirm drop off and pick up time the night before. Please do NOT send a request with a drop off or pickup window of more than 2 hours. I need to be able to plan and schedule my day. I truly understand that things happen and schedules change and I try to be super flexible but you MUST text me if you are running behind. Please do not have me send a text inquiring on your whereabouts. My time is valuable and I appreciate it being respected. I do not offer pick up/drop off outside of the above hours, so please do not submit a request that isn’t within those timelines. At times I can be flexible and accommodate earlier or later requests but an additional fee will apply. There will be times during the above windows that I am not available for, due to family obligations. For daycare bookings drop off is at 9 am and pickup is at 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. While my schedule is flexible, I do have children who attend school and are very active in sports, dogs of my own and a life of my own. Please be respectful of my time. Also I know life is hectic and schedules change but please be considerate with bookings and cancellations. If you cancel on me more than twice, unfortunately I will not be able to accept another booking request from you. I have a big backyard that is fenced in where my dogs love to run and play, so if your dog enjoys playing fetch and playing with other dogs then they will have a blast! Both of my dogs are very friendly and I guarantee you they will become your pup’s new best friend! I treat every dog like they are my own, so I promise to provide you with the best quality pet sitting services.
