Hi there! I'm Tiffany, I'm 20 years old and have been obsessed with animals for as long as I can remember. This has led me to pursue a career in biological sciences, in hopes of obtaining a degree in veterinary medicine. I currently work for a company that is considered a walk-in vet clinic, that serves the community's pets on the weekends. This has given me a lot of experience with working with animals. I've personally handled many of them myself, especially in difficult or stressful situations. This allows me to determine pet behavior very quickly which allows handling, especially when being an external, unknown person in a dog's territory. I am able to alleviate situations and really become an animal's best friend. This job also allows me to be free during the week, as the only time I'm unavailable are the couple of hours spent dedicated in class. I will also be available during the weekends (not as consistent), as I'm working twelve hour shifts on my Saturdays and Sundays. I have been providing animal-sitting services since I was 12 years old, running a business out of my home not for the extra cash, but because I wanted to spend time with more animals. This has made me well-equipped for the standard protocol of watching animals, understanding directions, and making sure everything that is asked of me is done. I have done a lot of work within the community, volunteering at local cat and dog shelters. I was a dog-walker for Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue for an ongoing couple of months, and I absolutely adored it. I've handled dogs who are strong on the leash, and I've also handled dogs who are as obedient as can be. I prefer neither, both are fun in their own ways. For this past year, I was a fellow sale's associate at the holistic pet-store chain, Pet Food Express in The Fountains. If you've never been inside the store, I definitely recommend it. The company is excellent, and has established a concrete knowledge of holistic pet care within me. It was an ongoing educational position, as I was constantly learning new things about petcare in general, I even attended off-site training at their corporate site in Oakland. I know the groundworks to pet nutrition, behavior, and products. I have met a plethora of dog and cat breeds, and have handled many of them in my time with working at the company. I was meeting about a hundred new dogs each week, and it took all my strength to remember them all. Some of the photos on my profile were my regular clients working there, and I consider them just as much as a client as those that I pet-sit for. I'm well-aware of the pet world, and am willing to give advice anytime as well! Ask me questions if you have been struggling with something!
