Let me be your pet's second best friend! I'm home most of the day and yours will be the only animals in my care. ABOUT ME: I recently lost my Katrina puppy after 17 good years (AND his slightly younger sibling weeks later). Now my furniture needs a fresh coat of fur. If your dog, cat, lizard or unicorn is aging, anxious, dramatic, grouchy, dribbly, clingy or just a bit of a nosepicker, I love them already. If your dog tells me he's allowed to have pizza, I will believe it, so please be clear on the rules before you go. I make good dogs bad, but I also make them feel safe, secure and comfortable. I will love your pet like family and treat them like a friend. DISCOUNTS/PRICING NOTES Because I don't accept overlapping reservations, I've tried to structure my prices accordingly, but still affordably. Please contact me if you think your pet would be comfortable staying with me but cost is an issue. If I'm available, I will try to accommodate your needs and budget. If rent weren't a thing, I would do this for free. Straightforward rate structures with automatic discounts of at least 15% on reservations for 7+ nights or services. Additional pets are half priced or less. Double the time for any walk or drop-in visit for only $5 more. Rates frozen for existing clients. Big thanks to the amazing animal clients I've served so far and to their awesome parents for helping to fill the dog-sized hole in my heart. I joined Rover as a client and am a few months new to the service side. I've been charmed by every pet I've served so far. I'm ashamed that there were days I took my own dogs for granted. Now that I'm a pet borrower instead of a pet owner, I appreciate the company that much more.

Tierna was awesome! We reached out to her last minute and she was so quick to respond and she was so flexible. Throughout the day she sent us photos of the dogs and giving us updates. She also gave us lots of info about the area. Would definitely reccomend!

Tierrna was wonderful! She responded quickly to my booking inquiry, answered any questions I had, was flexible and my pup loved her! She took him for multiple walks and kept him happy and occupied all day.. She even gave him a decorative fabric flower he had become fond of.. I definitely recommend Tierrna as an awesome pup sitter!

Your pet will have the run of the place including couch/bed access unless otherwise requested. I live in a small half-duplex that has five stairs at the front door and three in back- as close to ground level as we have here. The floors are hard wood and have seen it all. It's a small place with nothing that can really be ruined, central a/c and heat, and laundry to wash away pukes, poops or regrets. If you send your pet with a brush or comb, I'll use it. Same for any salves, creams or waxes. I have no experience or talent for pet grooming, but I can provide a bath outside or in the tub if it's necessary or requested. In case of a storm or fireworks, I'll be here for your pet. My secret weapon to drown out thunder is karaoke. (They don't LOVE my singing, but it's an effective distraction.) In the event or forecast of a hurricane, I will be in constant communication. I evacuate as a last resort or when it becomes mandatory. In the absence of alternative arrangements, your pet will remain with me in my care until they can be safely reunited with you or your emergency contact.

A typical day
I have a (baby-gated) porch for dogs that like to watch the street and a small yard for quick trips outside between real walks. There are parks nearby and if your dog is a bar dog or wants to be, we can cap off a long walk at an outdoor table somewhere. We'll avoid interacting with any other pets we encounter on our walks and only engage with other animals with your prior approval and/or in safe, supervised settings for some planned social time or in an emergency. I'm walking distance to PetSmart, Zeus' Place, St. Charles and Magazine St. If they're nearby, I can bring your pet to any scheduled appointments or favorite locations if they have any. We will take lots of naps and possibly learn about dinosaurs on TV. If your pet plays with toys, please bring a few. Anything you can tell me about their likes/dislikes will be useful.

Availability
Reservations do not overlap. Whether it's walking or boarding, your pets will be my one and only focus. I'll be home with them most of the day and night. When/if I do have to leave them alone, it will be briefly and not before they have really settled in, which usually takes a night. I have a small yard that's useful for pets that need frequent potty breaks in addition to regular, leashed walks according to your instructions. I'll keep to your pet's usual schedule as closely as possible.
