Pet care experience
Hi! I am a recent graduate from the University of Puget Sound, where I majored in biology and environmental policy. Through out my time in college, I walked and pet sat for different professors, catering my care to the needs of their beloved cat, dog, or chickens! I love to hike and go for walks around Tacoma and would be a great friend for an energetic pup, but I also love to read and cuddle with older or more relaxed friends. I would love the opportunity to meet in person to discuss any specific needs your pet might have to ensure that they get the best care while you are away. For longer stays, I can also bring in the mail, water houseplants or the yard, or any other task that will keep your home moving smoothly while you’re away—just let me know and I would love to help out! Tiare is so sweet and did great with my little guy! I felt that she took great care of my small older dog and even went above and beyond to try to stop the low battery beeping in my smoke alarm!! It really put my mind at ease knowing she was taking care of things at home. She sent regular photos and updates of my dog and was super communicative! Definitely recommend her care!
Tiare is a perfect fit for caring for pets. She grew up in the swimming pool business in Honolulu and made lots of furry and feathered friends along the way. You’ll be in good hands with Tiare!
Tiare is a pro. She cared for our three medium to large dogs for over a week. One of our dogs requires insulin shots twice a day. When we returned, Tiare and the dogs had clearly bonded. It was great knowing they were in her care.

To best understand how to help care for your dog, I would like to know your feeding schedule, walking schedule, and if you have any particular ways in which you like to reinforce good behavior. Please also let me know if your dog does well with other animals, or if that is something I should keep in mind when taking them out on walks.
A typical day
For dogs that like to stay around their own neighborhood, I will gladly take them on their favorite route to any local parks or sites! For dogs that have a little more energy to burn off, I have enjoyed taking pups down to the waterfront or to urban forested trails around Point Defiance. It’s a great way to let them explore and stretch in a beautiful natural setting!
