I have volunteered and worked in numerous shelters both locally and nationally. I have also worked as a veterinarian technician for the past 10 years. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas Tech University, attended veterinary school at Iowa State University (I did not complete it due to financial reasons), and I now study wildlife toxicology at Texas Tech as a master’s student. Animals are my passion, and I love animals of every species, breed, and size. I have the added benefit of veterinary knowledge from my time in the field. As a result, I can easily care for special needs pets and pets that have recently had vet care and require at home treatment. Additionally, I have the observation skills needed to detect when something is amiss.
