My name is Tiago, I am 25 years old and I'm the dog walker/sitter for you! I provide dog-walking and dog-sitting services in the Plymouth city centre area. I use a positive, hands-free approach with heavy emphasis on observation and body language to guarantee that your pup is in the best of hands. Walks are very special to me because they provide a BUNCH of stimulus and interaction to all pups. They are also great opportunities for pups to relieve stress and have a great work out. As such, I like to make my walks interesting for every pup. This is done through a mixture of play, training & socialisation. Every pup under my care will enjoy some great games to develop their sense of smell and sight as well as their threshold for patience. Each dog is different and it would be foolish of me to treat them all the same, so I encourage you to tell me what needs your pup has depending on their age, health or whether they woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day! Dog-sitting will require a different approach because I (a stranger) will be coming into the pups' home environment. As such, my main focus will be on creating a positive association between pup and myself so that we can co-exist happily! Once that is achieved, dog-sitting appointments will be all about the pup! I'll play their favourite games and make sure they have an awesome time while "the grown-ups" (that's you!) are away. Besides the obvious responsibilities (walking, feeding) I will also be utilising mini-games and Shaping (look it up if you've never heard of it, dogs love it!) as a away of giving the pup a "mental workout", followed by a maximum-chill relaxation session to guarantee that pup sleeps like a baby. On a final note, I'd like to say that I am incredibly passionate about all animals and look forward to working with you and your furry friends! However, these services are a hobby. I am NOT a professional (not yet, at least!). I'll be happy to discuss training or medical issues with you, to the extent of my knowledge, but ALWAYS check with a vet or professional trainer before making any decisions regarding the topics mentioned above.
