Pet care experience
Katie and Tia are a team effort and big time animal lovers! Katie has many year’s experience working and training with animals. Tia is a stay at home parent and will be interacting with your dog full time. She loves to have companions with her as she cleans the house, the yard and when going on morning and evening walks. Even when she is relaxing she enjoys your pup’s companionship. We have a very LARGE yard with a giant oak tree to provide shade. We recently put a gazebo in the backyard as well for additional shade. Water bowls are provided throughout the backyard. I clean the yard everyday. Dogs are generally let out for about 15-30 minutes and are let in and out as they please. If a pup wants to come in after they “do their business” that is fine as well. We pay close attention to your loved one and enjoy getting to know each pup by giving affection, attention and exercise. We take lots of pride in our ability to watch your loved ones full time as this is what we truly enjoy doing. Inside, dogs have tile floors to cool down. We do allow them on the couch as it is easily wiped down. If you do not want your dog on the couch, please let us know. We are available between 7am-10pm for pick up and drop off. We send pictures generally in the am and pm so you can keep track of how your loved one is doing. UPDATE! We just installed another fence outside for dogs who are on the smaller side or dogs who do not want to be around other pups. We also have gates in the house that open and close to keep pups separated while they eat. I know some dogs do not eat as fast as others so we want to accommodate that. Note: I’m pretty understanding when things happen and will not add extra fee if for some reason you miss your flight or driving late. I get it as it has happened to me and am so appreciative of people with sympathy. I’d rather you get here safely to pick up your pup than get in an accident stressing to get here at a certain time. I appreciate open communication. With that said, I will also not be taken advantage of so if it happens too often I will say something. WHAT TO BRING FOR MY DOGS VACATION STAY? - harness/leash - Foods/Medicine with instructions and their name labeled on them - Blanket/towel - If being crate trained, bring their crate WHAT NOT TO BRING? - Toys (we have plenty) - Bowls (we have plenty) unless it’s a Slow feeder bowl WHAT IF IM NERVOUS ABOUT HOW MY DOG WILL BEHAVE? - Katie has in depth training with dogs at shelters as Veterinary Assistant and can read dogs behaviors very intuitively. - We offer meet and greets at our home to give you a feel of how your dog will spend their time. Update on our dog: our big boy has cancer. He has lived a very long, fun and beautiful life. We want him to go in peace and will be earning his angel wings September 19, 2023. We truly enjoy having pups over and will appreciate having the company even more so at this time. We have become attached to the companionship of many of our regulars and hope to have more. We have no plans to add another dog to our family at this time but will update you on this app.

We have a house with a fenced in large yard and I personally take dogs on walks often as I like to explore adventure around myself and having a dog to explore with makes the experience much more fun! I usually go after 7pm to walk as it is way too hot during the day. That being said, I never let dogs outside for more than 30 minutes at a time (unless they are having a blast playing) during the day. Or I just let them go in and out whenever they want to. Water is always around the yard and in the house to ensure they are hydrated.

I do not feel comfortable with most aggressive types of dog breeds. We have an 8 year old and and infant do not feel comfortable putting them in a compromising position as some aggressive dogs may be unpredictable. I will make exceptions as I know there are certain pups with great and gentle personalities as usually dogs from good owners are a joy to have around. I like to keep up to 3 sometimes 4 depending on the dogs at a time.I do this to ensure they each get adequate attention and they can play together as well. If your dog is violent towards other dogs, my home is not a good fit. It’s fine if your pup prefers humans over other dogs as there is plenty of space in my home to accommodate each need.
A typical day
There are great parks near the home I am at and a large backyard however I do prefer walking and exploring with pups! I have tennis balls if your dog likes to fetch and I also have chew toys. When it’s raining or very hot out we all hang out with the pups in our room or the living room and watch movies.
