Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Tia, I have 25+ years of dog, cat, & other animal care! I am a total animal lover! I grew up working with my grandmother who is a professional show dog trainer, have 4 cats of my own & foster kittens for Journey Homeward Animal Rescue! I have been pet sitting professionally for 3 years and for friends & family for 25+ years. I have experience with all breeds & sizes of dogs & cats as well as exotic animals; geckos, dragons, newts & axolotls, frog/toads, fish, hermit & freshwater crabs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, parrots, cockatiels, chickens/rooster/chicks, & more! I am a MCBA certified chinchilla breeder with 7 chinchillas currently & also own 2 axolotls. I love all animals & take their care & safety very seriously. They are our babies after all! I have experience with animals with separation anxiety, health conditions, special needs, & high maintaince. I believe every animal is special & deserves the utmost care & patience whatever their needs may be. I have experience with training kittens/puppies up to geriatric years and always go the extra mile to make sure your fur babies are extra comfortable & happy!
Reviews
Tia is amazing! She made us feel at ease about leaving our babies for the first time. She sent tons of pictures and updated us at every visit. Will definetely book with her again.
Great job as always!
She was so great. I will use her every time!
Tia went above and beyond for us. One of our cats had kittens while we were gone and we were concerned about one after checking our cameras. She willingly went over later at night to check on them for us. We are very grateful for it. She went out of her way to make our cats comfortable and see that their needs were met. Also to make sure WE were comfortable being away from our pets.

Your pets safety is my #1 priority! I always ensure the home in locked upon coming inside & when we leave. I am comfortable setting alarms if needed as well & secure locks. One of my cats is an escape artist so I am used to keeping a close eye on the door and keeping sneaky ones inside. 😉 I have experience with all kinds of collars and harnesses for dogs & cats and always make sure they are secure and correctly worn during walks. All pets react differently and it can be hard to predict other people's pets during walks so I always give plenty of space when around other people & dogs just incase.
Information Tia D. would like to know about your pet
During the meet & greet is a great time to exchange important information like how they get along with other animals & people, medication or supplements they may be taking as well as any health conditions, allergies or behaviors they may have. Preferred veterinary & emergency contacts info just in case!
A typical day
I can let your pet in the backyard while I am there & have lots of playtime, or cuddles if they prefer! My goal is to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible & loved as if they were my own. I take the time to make sure they are eating normally, have plenty of water, & are taking medications or supplements as needed, following their routine to ensure they are most comfortable.
