Pet care experience
We love animals and currently have two Labradors, Buddy and Lucy, one Beagle, Mary Ann, a rooster, and a few hens. We have raised several litters of beautiful Labrador puppies and most recently 3 little Beagle puppies, so we have lots of experience with puppies and adult dogs. We are retirees who love dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors like us! Our 3 acre property has a big open area in the back for exercise and bathroom breaks on a leash and a fenced in area for play time. We have a screened in porch for snoozing as well as inside our home with Buddy, Lucy and Mary Ann, If you have country dogs they will feel right at home. If you have city dogs they should be very happy to spend some time in the cool grass and open air. Our dogs are always next to me whether I'm working at the computer, cooking or relaxing and we have exercise and play times in the yard at least three times per day.

Ms. Elaine and Mr. Steven are truly amazing! My dog has a lot of separation anxiety but I feel so comfortable leaving him in their care! So grateful to have found such a good home for him to go to when I’m traveling!
We were so please with Elaine and Steve. Otis stayed for two weeks while we were on Europe. We were nervous about leaving him for such a long time. He had just as much fun on our vacation as we did on ours. He made new friends and had tons of play time. We would definitely use Elaine and Steve again if they would have us!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or habits that we would need to be aware of. I would also need to know if your pet is friendly towards people and other dogs and if they are okay around chickens. We usually let our chickens roam around in the afternoon, but if your dog doesn't like chickens then we would need to know to keep the chickens in their pens.
A typical day
We will include your pet in the daily activities we share with ours. That includes playing catch in the yard as well as hanging out with us while we do work in the garden and playing with our dogs. If you let me know what additional activities your dog likes, we will do our best to incorporate those in the daily activities.

I work at home part time so my schedule is flexible and gives me plenty of time to spend with my canine guests as needed.
