I'll go easy because I think this provider has potential to be really good. His home garage has been adapted as a kennel with open stalls that can accommodate small to medium portable kennels, it is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, this wasn't a great fit for Noah as he is a large dog, gentle and sweet but large. The other issue is that because the stalls are not enclosed Noah was left tied up and subsequently chewed thru his lead. I don't think provider was completely comfortable with larger dogs, but they did manage. The biggest problems for me were 1. Communication. English wasn't his first language so Noah and I both had some difficulty. I was grateful to have the chance to board Noah last minute, and I was close enough to rush back in emergency, but I wasn't comfortable with the fact we couldn't communicate. 2. The providers yard was not enclosed (although kennel area was inside) and that has a potential for problems. 3. Provider didn't reach out to me with photos or comments at all unless I reached out first. This was a first. I've always had lots of info on previous occasions. Like I said, you can see there is good potential here, and provider was kind and gentle, but I think it would help him to have a little help with communication and facilities that provide a bit more of a secure environment for the pups. And foremost find a way to secure pups without keeping them tied up 24/7 on the leads. That's very unsafe. If these things are addressed I would consider using him again. I liked him and his desire to do well.
