Pet care experience
Hello! I'm a person who has been around animals all my life - I grew up around dogs & cats, was regarded as a reliable pet and house sitter in high school and college, and have traded pet sitting with friends and family for years. My partner and I currently have 2 cats and we love to borrow friends' dogs for hikes. I've also owned rodents and fish, and cared for amphibians, reptiles, and birds.

Thomasina is a real pet lover, dogs and cats both, and is very capable of walking your dog for some exercise and giving him or her a little sugar. I have an Akita-Husky mix that she helped me with when I first got him, he needed as much exercise as he could get and she stepped right in to help with dog walks.
Thomasina has taken care of my pet in the past - while I'm traveling for work, she was willing and able to care for Luna, feeding and, spending time with her. Luna, as with most pets, needs and loves human interaction. I have no issues with allowing Thomasina key access to my home and I am pleased with the care taken with Luna.
Thomasina has petsit for my two kitties on numerous occasions. She was always thoughtful and attentive and the house and kitties were well taken care of when I got home. She was also great about communicating with me when I was out of town to let me know how my kitties were doing and if anything unusual came up.
Thomasina helped watch my pup Molly when Molly was recovering from surgery. Thomasina is a devoted animal lover and an incredibly dedicated and responsible pet owner. They have an excellent understanding of feline communication, and can win over even the shyest of cats. They are also a friend to every dog I’ve ever seen come across their path. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust Thomasina to walk or watch my fur babies.

When I am at your house, I will make sure your critters eat, drink and are able to do their business, will make sure they get whatever level of exercise is right for them, will administer any required meds, and will give them any other personal attention they need to be happy. I have a vehicle so I can take your pets to any appointments if needed, and can drive out to some of the more fun/quiet trails for walks. I will follow any instructions provided conscientiously to make sure your pet is as comfortable as they would be in your care.

A typical day
I can play fetch for longer than most people have patience for, I am totally down for tug of war, and I love taking dogs on hikes or runs on just about any of the roads or trails around town, depending on what the dog is up for. If you have a cat, I have optimized my string toy teasing skills. For the less active critters, I can carry any animal under 20lbs around the house and talk to them while showing them things like what's going on out the window if that's something they are into. I can also read to your pet, watch TV with them, or we can even just sit and vibe.

Availability
I currently work freelance from home, so I am available for walking/playdates during the week, and can provide in-home overnights on weekends. If weekday overnights are needed, that can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
