We are a young happy couple who LOVE dogs! We are very active and love to run, hike, bike, throw the frisbee, go for walks. We exercise every day in some form. We live in a ground-level spacious apartment (dogs allowed) with a small fenced in patio/garden. We are also 2 blocks from a large field/park where neighbors play with their dogs. We frequently go running in Forest Park after work or hiking in the Gorge on weekends and love bringing along a canine friend. Thomas works a few miles from home with a flexible schedule. Samantha is currently completing her graduate degree online and is home on weekdays. Our house is pet friendly and we will make your dog feel right at home. We both grew up with family dogs. Samantha has volunteered at animal shelters and with pet rescues in the past. We rescued a puppy 3 years ago (currently living in Florida but will be joining us soon!!). We both have lived with roommate's dogs in college as well. In those cases we have helped to care for the dogs on a daily basis and when the owner is away. We understand and are respectful of different training and styles of care. We helped rescue a stray dog in Costa Rica. We also have experience with dog sitting in our home and at the home of others. We have experience with training techniques, formal training classes, a variety of breeds, ages, and conditions/habits. We have lived with mutts, hounds, labs, goldens, pitbulls, chihuahuas, and french poodles! Puppies and older dogs, well-trained and dogs just off the street, we love them all! We are both responsible college graduates. We understand dogs and how to interact with them. We also LOVE dogs, taking care of them, and giving them lots of love!! We will do everything to make your dog comfortable and happy with us.
