Hello everyone, My name is Theresa and I am the owner of a small licensed kennel named Hang Around Hound. I have been working as a pet care professional since October 2010. In 2016 I started my own dog walking business and in 2017 absorbed another small boarding and daycare facility. As I’m sure you’ve all noticed Rover (and Wag) have been getting some poor reviews in the court of public opinion lately due to several tragic incidents over the last few years. Sadly, this seems to be the result of unprofessional or unskilled independent contractors listed on this site. I hope to be part of the solution in that regard. As stated above Hang Around Hound is a licensed and insured daycare and boarding facility. We offer the flexibility of a large kennel with the attention and compassion of a small single owner operation. I myself hold a San Francisco Animal Care and Control Dog Walking Permit, I am Dog CPR and First Aid Certified by Pet Sitters International and ABC Animal Health. Hang Around Hound is also Dog Walker Training company again Certified though San Francisco Animal Care and Control. I have up to six staff members at a time which allows me to offer uninterrupted services every day of the week. We will never be unavailable due to sickness or vacations. All my staff are personally trained by me. Our daycare is a open play environment where dogs are allowed together on the main floor throughout the day. We offer several different boarding options including allowing dogs with separation anxiety to sleep in my home above the daycare. There is someone on location 24/7 so your dog will never be left alone.
