I have grown up with dogs all my life, and as an only child, I have always had a special connection with the dogs my family owned, much like others would have with their siblings. In my house we have always had two dogs- typically Cocker Spaniels and Bernese Mountain Dogs (in addition to the occasional lizard or fish), so I am comfortable with your best friends no matter what size and shape they are. As I began to rack my brain for some possible ways to gain some more life experience in addition to earning some income; I reflected on the time I spent this past summer volunteering my Friday mornings at a local animal shelter, and thought what better job could there be than helping to take care of peoples' pets.
