Hello there! I absolutely love going on hikes and discovering new wilderness in ottawa and gatineau! Going to sandy hill or the canal is a weekend ritual of mine and bringing a furry friend makes the hike that much more lovely! I have cared for dogs for over 17 years, both my own and for friends. I am a very patient and intuitive gal, who lives 2 minutes away from the canal & elgin street dog park. Living an active lifestyle is something i do for myself, but i would really love to help you and your fur family. Also very interested in baking dog treats and having highly qualified judges! We had Thelana watch our dog Orion and she was absolutely fantastic! I'm always very nervous when leaving Orion but Thelana was very attentive and provided daily updates, which gave me peace of mind while we were away. Orion seemed happy and well-cared for when we returned. We will definitely be using her for more dog walks in the future. Highly recommend Thelana and her services.
Thelena was amazing! I felt so safe with her care of my dog and it was a vacation for my dog too while I was away. Thelena sent pictures, videos, and text updates. During our meet and greet before booking she asked lots of questions to make sure she knew how to properly care for my dog and during the stay they went on great walks and played with other dogs. I could tell my dog was having the best time! I would highly recommend booking with Thelena.
Thelana did a great job looking after our three cats while we were away.
Thelana was a great walker for my high-energy dog while I was away for the holidays. I love that she taught good walking manners like not crossing over and staying close to my side. Would definitely book again.

I have no breed preferences! Only things i would like to know before house sitting are: *any special needs (anxiety, epilepsy, arthritis etc) * any allergies or food requirements * barking (frequent or infrequent) * problems with other pets or animals (incase of avoidance in public walks)
A typical day
Top hiking spots: GATINEAU PARK ELGIN STREET DOG PARK LANDSDOWN TRAILS CANAL TRAILS RIDEAU RIVER TRAIL As i live by the canal all dogs who can swim will be taken for a swim, a hike, a run, a ball throw, a soccer game, and maybe a little dog yoga! And! If you are comfortable with it a canoe ride through eh rideau canal :)

Availability
I am taking time off work for the entire summer and would be working from home otherwise. usually do a 2 hour bike ride or hike in the morning, an hour at lunch and a two hour around 4/5pm so having a fur friend along would be no problem :)
