I've been lucky to travel the world and work with animals of all sizes. From cheetahs, to otters and grizzly bears, I've seen them all! As an owner of an anxious pet, I know firsthand the patience and care needed to care for pets. I am certified in pet CPR and have had experience with pets with special needs including tri-pawed dogs, blind/deaf dogs, and animals that require medications such as pills, liquids, or eye drops. I do also have first hand experience with giving diabetic animals insulin shots.

Thayer has been the most amazing pet sitter! Her passion and love for animals was evident from the moment she came by to meet my two cats, and instantly made me feel more at ease about having someone drop in to look after them on my long work days. Henry had his first walk with Thayer and I sure appreciated all of her attention to my boy!! With our recent move I’ve been worried about leaving him in a new place when I go to work, but I feel better knowing that she’s coming to see him and take him for a walk. ♥️?
We used to have a neighbor check in on our cats while we were gone, but it was inconsistent and the cats were definitely upset while we were gone. Having Thayer stop by and hangout with our cats, and feed and play with them was a game changer. We came home to a happy and nice smelling house. Made the world of a difference after being gone on a long trip. I’ll have her watch my animals every time I’m gone!

I am well versed in crating dogs both experienced and inexperienced with crates. I always make sure my own dog's crate is his safe space where he does not receive medicine and his toys are not taken from there when he's in there with them. I administer medicine to them with patience knowing that not all animals take medication the same way. I always check in on the pets mood and try to avoid over-simulating or over-stressing them.

Let me know if your pet has any injuries or medical needs. Also please let me know if your dog is reactive to certain triggers. I myself have a reactive dog so I am well equipped to handle your pooch I just want to be able to plan our day/walk accordingly.
A typical day
I love going down to the metroparks to take my own pup for a walk. There’s lot of different trails/terrain which gives me a lot of options if I want to go on more of a leisurely stroll vs a hike or if I need to avoid certain stimulants like cars or people/other dogs.

Availability
I am leaving corporate after 5 years and pursuing my real passion: caring for animals! I currently work at a doggy day care with my availability usually starting in the afternoons but I have a very flexible work schedule. Once my husband and I buy a house I plan to open up boarding as an option.
