Hi, I'm Thaisa (Ty)! I'm a recent JD/MSSW grad and I just took the bar exam. I grew up between Boston and Austin, and I've been pet-sitting all kinds of pets ever since I can remember, in addition to taking care of our family dogs and cats. As an adult, I have continued to sit for friends, fostered a puppy in South Korea, and have walked over 300 dogs for Wag/Rover combined. I enjoy running, so would love to run with your dog, or enjoy a relaxing walk. I see myself as an active and enthusiastic animal lover. I would love to be a new friendly, playful, and loving human connection for your pup. As a social worker, caring is second nature to me, and I promise to provide your dog with the best care I am capable of during our time together.

We are repeat clients of Thaisa's and cannot say enough about her attention to detail, her kindness towards our animals, and her general awesomeness. I get nervous leaving our doggos, but don't worry at all when they are in Thaisa's care. They are so relaxed when we return and always look like they are living it up in her photo updates that she takes the time to send us. I'm so grateful to have found her, and am sure my dogs agree!
Thaisa was amazing with my dogs and special needs cat. As a fellow sitter/walker, who has never left my pups before, it was stressful for me to find the right sitter. Thaisa came for a meet and greet, as well as a test walk, before sitting to make sure the dogs were comfortable with her. She stayed with them, and kept them on their regular (spoiled) schedules which was greatly appreciated. She sent such detailed check in reports that my husband and I were able to enjoy our vacation and not worry about how the critters were doing. We came home to house full of happy animals, who seemed to barely notice we were gone- can’t get better than that! We highly recommend Thaisa!
Thaisa walked our older dog Nola mid-day for three days while I was out of town. When booking, she was prompt to respond and clear. At our meet and greet, it was clear she is very comfortable and knowledgeable about dogs. She provided great updates for each walk and gave us insights in how Nola was feeling. Overall, we are thrilled to have connected with Thaisa in Austin. She is great!

I cannot pet sit in my home because my dog does best alone/with consistency with dog friends. In your home I can care for you pets in the manner best suited to your needs.

I grew up with bigger dogs, and am strong (run and lift weights), so I am definitely not afraid to walk bigger pups! Generally, I just like to know anything special about your dog. Please let me know if your dog is on a special diet, loves extra treats, needs to go slow due to surgery/health problems, or needs to be worn out by lots of play/running.
A typical day
I love to run, so if you would like, I can run with your dog around your neighborhood. We can also take it easy and relax on a walk, or play in the park or your backyard. I love giving all the extra loving and petting that affectionate dogs adore, and also understand that some dogs want their distance and am a-ok with that too. If you're working on any special tricks or commands, I would be happy to maintain the same discipline/fun as you do.

Availability
I work full-time during the week, roughly an 8-4:30. I can stop by in the evenings and have weekend availability. I cannot stay over night in your home for petsitting because I have a dog at home, but can still pet-sit if your dog/cat is ok with longer intervals.
