Pet care experience
Hello! I am a dog parent. My Beagle, Candi, is a big snuggler. I am a college student interested in going into veterinary practice in the future. I thought this would be a great opportunity to combine my love of animals and experience. I grew up around dogs and cats so I am very comfortable with all ages and sizes. I have experience caring for diabetic animals and animals that require medication. I am willing to take high energy dogs on runs. I am currently online for my university so I am able to care for your pet anytime after 11. Please contact me if you have any special requests like dropping dogs off/picking up from locations. I think it is important to give your furry baby a well rounded experience with lots of pets and exercise when I stop by. I want them to have a positive experience because I know it can be stressful for them when you are away.

Tessa went above and beyond caring for our diabetic cat, staying with him to make sure he was keeping food down and keeping him company after his shot, all while giving us regular updates including cute and candid pictures
Tessa was wonderful with Tiger. She kept him on his regular insulin schedule, which is very important. Tiger seemed to have enjoyed her care.

Before pet sitting it would be helpful to know a few things. Is your pet on any medications? Is there a hiding place your cat goes to when they get stressed? Are there certain things your dog likes to get into and cause trouble? Is your animal protective over food? Does your animal have arthritis and are sensitive to petting in a certain spot? Is your dog animal aggressive? How does your dog react on a leash? Are there any toys or activities your pet loves the most? None of these things will prevent me from pet sitting or dog walking but I think they are very important for anyone to know if they are going to be around your pet for an extended period of time.
A typical day
When pet sitting we will have a little agenda. We will take a walk before bed and have a specific play time so they are good and tired before bed. I can give updates about your pet and what we do when you are away so you wont need to worry. For dog walks we will go out into the neighborhood and if the owner agrees we can go to the local park, think Maybury State Park or Kensington Metropark, and enjoy nature together.
