My whole life I’ve been surrounded by animals. I grew up with dogs and have worked in zoos and aquariums as an animal care professional. I am a go to for my friends and family animal questions and animal care needs! I’ll do anything it takes to ensure your pet gets the best care possible!

Tessa was so lovely! It was the most peace of mind I’ve had leaving my dog while on a trip in quite some time! I could tell that she kept my dogs routine and ensured a calm environment for him which meant a lot because he leans on the anxious side. She also sent me daily pictures and left my house super tidy.
Tessa did an outstanding job caring for Matilda while we were away. Regular updates and photos showed her dedication. She followed instructions diligently, and Matilda was happy and relaxed upon our return. Highly recommended for reliable and compassionate pet care!

Anything that you think is important, I think is important! I want to know certain behaviors or scenarios that are important for me to understand while caring for your animal. Other things like how you approach treats with your dog and other sort of training behaviors you want to keep consistent are good things to know as well!
A typical day
I love hiking and walking with the animals I care for. I think it is important to incorporate either brisk walking or running within a dog walk to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. When I worked with animals in professional settings, I learned that enriching toys are great for keeping animals stimulated and happy. Whether it is playing an active game of fetch or hiding a treat inside toy, I love finding new ways to enrich a dog's day!

Availability
I am an early riser and love to take my pets on long, morning walks! I work at a museum but am able to adjust my schedule so I can check on your pet throughout the workday. I love nothing more than to spend quality time with your pet on my weekends!
