Youthful dog loving gal

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m the previous Assistant Manager at Elkhound Ranch Kennels. After loosing my other kennel job at Deogi Pointe I stared thinking about having daycare/ boarding in my home to make a full time job out of it. Although currently work part time for Brisbane Vet as an assistant, I would love to be able to stay home to take care of pups while their owners are out of town. Working in a variety of kennels, I know that it’s very normal for dogs to get overwhelmed and stressed at kennels an so I strive to make all dogs experiences comforting at my home. I’ve had experience with all sorts of breeds, sizes, temperaments and diets with medications so I can make sure your furry family member sticks to the same diet and feeding schedule as they would at home. I also have experience in giving dogs baths, brushing them out, and trimming their nails so if you want your pup to be all clean and fresh going home you can count on me to have them lookin pretty/handsome for you! I’ve always adored all sizes and breeds of dogs and treat them all as if they were my own. In my home I do have 1 extra spare bedroom that I typically use as my rover dogs room when they are here. I set up a bed or two for them and have their food and water set up in there as well. It’s where they stay when I have to leave the house and where they stay at night. otherwise, they are out and about with me free roam of the house. I hope that I can help you out and take care of your doggo while you travel or just for the day while you work :)

Tessa was amazing with our pup, Kodi. She was patient with her and sent us many pics during her stay. Kodi can be skiddish and timid around other dogs and new people. We were very happy with how Tessa treated Kodi. Will be calling her again!

I have had the absolute privilege of working with Tess in a professional setting with dogs daily. She is fantastic with people always smiling ,and able to problem solve if one were to arise. I have also personally worked with her as a professional dog trainer on helping her with her own dog, as Well as training dogs of my own, and clients dogs. She is very trustworthy and anyone would be lucky to have her on their team.

Tessa was amazing! She sent so many pictures and updates and my puppies looked like they were having a blast. Thank you so much Tessa (and Tessa's roommates because my dog was in love with them lol)! I will definitely be booking with her anytime I go out of town!

Information Tessa B. would like to know about your pet

I would need all dogs that come for daycare or boarding to be dog friendly and male friendly as there are two men who live in my household. I would also like to know if a dog has any medical conditions that I would need to keep an eye on or medications to be given. I would love to know the temperament/ energetic level of your furry friends before having them in my home and would prefer all dogs to be potty trained. Meet and greets at parks are what I like to do before having you and your pup over, just to make sure our furry friends are going to get along.

A typical day

There is a big park with a long trail down the street that I can take dogs on walks at but I also have a huge yard that wraps around my house and is fenced in. Smaller dogs may need to be kept on a leash due to the face that they could crawl under the fence. I have many toys for them to play with (unless they are toy aggressive) while they are here and a kiddy pool for them to splash in when it’s 80 degrees and above. in the winter months the pups would be inside my home with me cuddled up on couches or beds stayin cozy and warm.
