Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Tessa and I work from home in Big Bear. My two wonderful weimaraners love to socialize with dogs of all kinds and their humans, which is what we enjoy about Rover! We did quite a bit of Rover sitting in 2019 and loved it, but I turned off the app during the pandemic to focus on transitioning to working from home and social distancing as the world went a little crazy. I'm now a work-from-home pro and best of all - dogs make THE BEST co-workers in the world! My dogs and I and have missed socializing! Our pawlosophy on socialization is that it's essential between dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages, enabling in them a well-adjusted disposition, which grooms proper behavior and well-rounded, diverse world experiences to be able to go more places and do more things, right alongside their humans, as perfect companions! About Willow: My 13 year young weimy girl, Willow and I are soulmates. I adopted her at 1.5 years old in 2010 during my last semester of graduate school. We do everything together and she's made life infinitely better in every way. She's smart, sweet, nurturing, and still adventurous as she still has her former athletic spirit. Together, my adventure buddy and I have explored a good chunk of the U.S. from the midwest to the west coast. From the east-to-west, we've traveled IL, IA, SD, NE, CO, WY, UT, NV and CA, together. She and I have logged countless miles across corn country in the heartland. Climbed the Rockies and the Sierra Nevadas. Explored the badlands and Mt. Rushmore. Trekked across the wild west. And walked the vineyards of Napa wine country where she thought I was saying 'weim' country! ;) About Ryder: We adopted Ryder in November, 2018 through NorCal Weimaraner Rescue, who was estimated to be around 2-3 years old at the time. (So now around 5-6.) Willow is a young soul and acts half her age, while Ryder is an old soul and acts twice his age, so the two are the perfect duo, balancing each other out! Ryder is a laid back, chill dude, and just loves to be loved. He lights up for fetch, water fetch and adventure hikes. They're a weimy yin yang and I love having a dog for each arm! After adopting Willow through weimaraner rescue 10 years ago, I became very active in dog rescue and took in foster dogs to love on throughout her puppyhood - up until a few years ago. Fostering is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world and dog rescue is still very close to my heart. We're very experienced with opening our hearts and home to other deserving dogs with all kinds of experiences and backgrounds. We have a great dog-friendly house that has a 6' fenced in back yard and our neighborhood is very safe and quiet, with lots of trees for shady walks through the forest. We love to walk, hike and explore. I'm a late-30's working professional with a master's degree, while Willow and Ryder, both Ph.D.s, (Pretty happy Dogs) are stay-at-home doggos. Willlow is a darling domestic diva and Ryder is a handsome howling homemaker. I've been lucky to have had dogs in my life since the age of three. And three of my favorite dog adages are 1.) A house is not a home without a dog. 2.) Dogs make life whole. 3.) Everyone thinks they have the best dog...none of them are wrong!
Reviews
Tessa was great with Doodle. She sent pics and took him a nice walk. I could tell she was very good with him. I would definitely recommend her!
Tessa and her doggos Ryder and Willow, love my dog as if he is part of their pack.
Tessa is super friendly and communicative! Would use her again to watch Mila while skiing at Big Bear!
Tessa is awesome! She’s a dog whisperer seriously! Very thankful we had a chance to meet her and have her watch out Cavalier.

My requirements: While I work from home and have the luxury of being able to be present and attentive to the dogs full-time, I am not accepting puppies under 2 years old, since puppies require 110% supervision, and I still need to be able to balance my work productivity. Dogs 2 years old and older must be well-socialized and spayed/neutered. My own dogs are up-to-date on their veterinary requirements.
A typical day
Neighborhood walks through the shady, quiet neighborhood, through the forest Area hikes Sniff and explore the backyard Relax together on the couch Play fetch Enjoy interactive toys and peanut butter kongs

Availability
I am enjoying the luxury of working from home, which offers the luxury of being constantly present and attentive to the doggos. If I leave the house, it's typically a brief grocery or gas run. We go out for a walk at least once, and sometimes twice per day.
