Meetups: Let's stay 6 ft apart and outside. :) Pickups and Drop-offs I'm more than happy to come downstairs to get your pup and I'll wear a mask. :) Drop-ins: I will wear a mask at all times when I'm in the house to take care of your pup. If there's a backyard we can play in, I will make sure to spend more time in the yard rather than in the house. I will have hand sanitizer on me, so I'll be sure to have a clean mask and clean hands before entering your house. Walks: If you have an enclosed area where you can let your dog (already leashed) come to me freely, that'd be great! If not, or you're not going to be home when I pick your dog up for walks, I'll be sure to wear a mask and make sure the leash is wiped down before returning your pup and leash back in your home. Thank you for understanding!!! ABOUT ME: I'm Tessa Byford and I've been a dog sitter for 6 years now. I absolutely love every dog I meet and I'm extremely easygoing. I'm a laid back type of person, so I'm up for doing whatever your pup needs. Some dogs love to cuddle while others like to have their own space. Some love taking runs while others want to be my couch potato. I really listen to what each client wants for their dog, so their dog's stay can always be a great one. And of course, it's always a joy for me to explore NYC parks and see amazing sights with furry pals. ABOUT BAMBI: Bambi (my dog) is amazing with other dogs and is a complete follower. (a very endearing trait everyone can laugh at and love! haha) So if your dog wants to play she will or if your dog keeps to himself, she will give your dog space. She went through a lot at a young age, so she's given me a lot of dog sitting experience on her own. I rescued her at the age of 1 in Los Angeles. I immediately took her to Petco to spoil her, but she suddenly became very insecure and defensive towards everyone. From that point, it took a couple weeks for her to trust me and a couple months for me to teach her the world is a good place and people are kind! Then after a year she started to enjoy dog parks and hanging out with other people. I've now had her for 8 years and she's everyone's buddy! It makes me so happy to see her get along with all types of dogs and people. She really is my best friend and we've been through so much together. She still has her silly personality, but that's why everyone loves her. My girl friends and I like to joke that she truly thinks she's one of our "gal pals." And the guys love her because she's a true athlete and no one expects that from a dog her size. I think it's great for dogs to have pals during their vacations away from their owners and Bambi is a great vacay pal to have. :) WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR DOG'S STAY: I am a singer/dancer/actor/producer so I work from home! I do leave for short periods of time if I have an audition, dance/singing class, or coffee meeting for production. I have my apt set up so I can comfortably work from home, so I do spend most of my time with the dogs. We take our first walk around 8am. Then we have a park adventure or longer walk around noon or 1pm. Our last main walk is around 6pm. Our pee before bed walk usually ends up around 10:30pm. If your dog needs more walks, just let me know. :) Toys/beds/crates/gates are allowed. I have dog blankets, so everyone is allowed on the couch. Everyone receives pics/updates! :) SAFETY DURING YOUR DOG'S STAY: Your pup's safety is #1. :) All dogs stay on their leash during walks on the street and around the park. Only time they'll be off leash is in the dog park. Since I have my own dog, this is very natural! We look out for pizza and chicken bones on the street, water is always out unless requested not to, apartment door is always shut, and we stay away from aggressive dogs or big groups of dogs. WATCHING MULTIPLE DOGS: Please know that your dog might have a second guest, so there is a possibility for 3 dogs to stay with me (2 guests plus Bambi). I am very comfortable with 3 dogs and there is plenty of space.
