Dogs are the best!
Pet care experience
I have a soft spot in my heart for bully breeds. I've trained all of my dogs and have enjoyed walking, biking, and rollerblading with the bigger ones. I have experience with all breeds and sizes and am confident in my abilities to care for your dog just like I would my own. While each individual dog has its own personality, all dogs need a confident leader that provides patience, kindness, and direction! Additionally, I have fostered dogs through The Bond Between (when it was Secondhand Hounds) and have lots of experience with rescues and the "quirks" that come with them. I have also been known to save stray dogs on vacation lol. Since I started working with Rover, I have enjoyed meeting new dogs and helping their owners feel better about being away! When I made a change in my day job, I had to give up Rover but now have some availability.

I let my dogs roam the main floor, gated from the stairs and crate them occasionally. They like to den in their crate sometimes so I leave that open for them as well. I follow clients’ directions and wishes carefully and always leave the house the same way, or better than, the way I found it.

I like all breeds, but absolutely love my bullies! I have personally had pit bulls, boxers, and frenchies as pets and have extensive experience with large and extra large breeds through Rover.
A typical day
I typically take dogs on walks through their own neighborhood and play fetch and/or tug with them in their home or backyard. I've walked a few different clients together and taken some to the dog park, but I only do that once both the owners and I are comfortable. I do not like to walk around a neighborhood at night so any night time visits need to be within the home and/or on their property.

I am available to take some walks/visits in the later afternoon and evenings after my work hours during the week and some hours on weekends.
