Pet care experience
I have taken care of cats of every age from a young age, from looking after my own cat to cat-sitting for my neighbours who would have cats of all ages and tameness in their home as they were volunteers for Cats Protection. I also cared for guinea pigs and rabbits in my youth and for family members. More recently, I have assisted friends in dog sitting, taking dogs for walks and feeding them, however I have never myself owned a dog therefore would only consider dog sitting in circumstances where I have detailed knowledge of the dog's needs. Now that I have moved to the North East, I am keen to spend time caring for pets once more.

Tess and her partner, Joe, provided a calm and caring environment for our little pooch. She sent regular 'pupdates' during his stay so we were fully reassured that Buster was doing well. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Tess ❤️
Tess is an incredibly kind and caring person who loves animals and is great at a looking after them. She is very good with understanding what people and animals need. She is a responsible person who enjoys spending time with animals and would be a great sitter.

My home is very pet friendly, with many doors and rooms which pets can roam. Most of the house is not carpeted. Pets would be prevented from entering the office room and the bedroom which has cables visible. However, when pet sitting I will work in a room accessible to the pet to ensure they get the attention and company they need. I also am a 10 minute walk from a park perfect for taking dogs on a walk. I do not own a pet crate or carrier and therefore would need this to be provided if pick up or drop off is required.

Availability
I currently work from home three days a week and would therefore be able to pet sit on any days except Tuesday and Wednesday. I do not currently have pets as I often am away on weekends, however I can pet sit on weekends also with sufficient notice. Given my working schedule, I am available to pet sit in my own home or in the owner's home, provided the WiFi is suitable for me to work. I am in control of my own schedule and can therefore work around the pets' needs.
